When Team Builders goes live on Wednesday, March 1st in Madden Ultimate Team, the Team Captains you got to choose from when you began your MUT journey will all have the ability to be upgraded to 97 OVR and come with 2 different custom ability buckets, including discounted abilities. Without discounted abilities, a lot of Team Captains have been collecting dust in binders at 94 OVR, but with a few 0 AP and 1 AP abilities to pair together, along with the increase to 97 OVR, we should start seeing Captains on the field again.
Three tokens will be required to upgrade your Team Captain to 97 OVR and unlock their custom ability buckets. All 3 Tokens can be earned by earning maximum Stars from the 10 new Solo Challenges.
Remember, if you would like to switch the Team Captain you currently have for a different one, simply downgrade your current Captain to receive any upgrade tokens first, then place your 85 OVR base Team Captain in the "Team Captain Exchange" Set to choose 1 of the 4 Team Captains at no additional cost.
