LeRoy Butler, David DeCastro, and Dwight Freeney are today's new Legends in MUT 25. LeRoy Butler spent his entire 12-year NFL career with the Green Bay Packers where he would make 4 Pro Bowls, win a Super Bowl, and be named to the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. While teammate Robert Brooks popularized the move, Butler is credited by many as the inventor of the Lambeau Leap after a defensive touchdown in a game in 1993.
David DeCastro played 9 seasons in the NFL, all with the Black and Gold in Pittsburgh. While with the Steelers, DeCastro made 6 Pro Bowls and received 1st Team All-Pro honors twice. DeCastro's best ability during his career was his availability. After suffering a knee injury during the preseason of his rookie year, DeCastro only missed 7 total games in his remaining 8 NFL seasons.
Dwight Freeney played 11 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, where he would win Super Bowl XLI and lead the NFL in sacks in 2004. After leaving the Colts, the 7-time Pro Bowl RE would bounce around the league, making stops with the Chargers, Cardinals, Falcons, Seahawks, and Lions.
