Madden 23: Preorder MUT Offers and Player Reveals

Unfortunately if you're reading this after July 22nd, you missed out on the All Madden Team player offer. However, EA announced today on Twitter that the All-Madden preorder offer has been upgraded to include an elite Headliners player in addition to the other perks outlined below. While the Headliners players have not been revealed yet, we expect some of them to be among the best players available at launch. Don't worry, if you already preordered the All-Madden edition, you'll automatically receive the Headliners player as well.

EA Sports went live on Twitch earlier tonight to reveal new information about Madden 23's preorder bonus content for Madden Ultimate Team. If you're interested in the full hour-long stream hosted by RG, you can find it here. Otherwise, here is a breakdown of what you need to know:

There are two versions of Madden 23 available for preorder: Standard ($70) and All-Madden ($100). EA Play members receive 10% off of both preorder options. If you're interested in the All-Madden version, you'll want to act fast since the All Madden Team offer expires on July 22nd. You can find more details and purchase each version here. If you go for the All-Madden version, you'll get a head start on your Madden season with three days of early access beginning on August 16th. You'll also get 4,600 Madden Points, access to Exclusive Early Access Challenges, and Dual Entitlement (which allows you to upgrade to PS5 or XSX for free later in the year).

Preorder All Madden Team Players

The All-Madden preorder also allows to choose one of the following All Madden Team player items:

87 OVR Barry Sanders (HB)
- Evasive for 3 AP
87 OVR Kam Chancellor (SS)
- Enforcer for 2 AP
- Secondary Positions: FS
87 OVR Cooper Kupp (WR)
- Slot Apprentice for 3 AP
87 OVR Micah Parsons (ROLB)
- Lurker for 2 AP
- Secondary Positions: LOLB, MLB

All-Madden Team players come with an X-Factor ability slot, a Tier 1 ability slot, a Tier 2 ability slot, and a special ability slot. The special ability slot will include abilities that will mostly be unavailable at launch outside of the All-Madden Team program. This was confirmed to include some Tier 3 abilities that normally would unlock at a higher OVR. Each player included as an option from the preorder offer is listed above along with the ability confirmed to be in their special ability slot.

Preorder Elite Players

If you preorder either the All-Madden or Standard version of Madden 23, you will receive two 83 OVR elite player items. You will have to choose one of the three options on offense, and one of the three options on defense. Here are your options:

Offense

83 OVR Lamar Jackson (QB)
83 OVR D'Andre Swift (HB)
83 OVR Jaylen Waddle (WR)

Defense

83 OVR Jabrill Peppers (FS)
83 OVR Isaiah Simmons (MLB)
83 OVR Montez Sweat (RE)

Each of these players come with one Tier 1 ability slot and an X-Factor ability slot.

MUT 23 Ability Updates

Along with tonight's player reveals, EA also revealed some significant changes to the ability system:

All X-Factors will cost 100 Training (500 in MUT 22)
All Tier 1 abilities will be free to add to eligible players
All Tier 1 abilities will be 1 AP (excluding some offensive line abilities)
