Happy Madden season! If you pre-ordered the Deluxe version of Madden 24, you will get to choose a Hall of Fame player item to help jumpstart your MUT 24 roster. If you happened to pre-order the Deluxe version before the July 22nd cutoff, you will get to choose an AKA player item as well.
In order to help you make your pre-order content decisions, the MUT.GG team decided to rank all of the pre-order offer content based on the information available to us. Here are our picks:
Which AKA Pre-order Player Should I Pick?
Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner and Justin "JJettas" Jefferson are the two players you have to choose between. Here is what we recommend:
1A. Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner
Cornerbacks are always valuable in Madden Ultimate Team and Sauce looks to be one of the best available at launch. He's 6'3" and has 85 speed, which makes him one of the fastest players at his position to start MUT 24. With 86 man coverage, 83 zone coverage, and 86 press, he should be able to hold his own for a while.
1B. Justin "JJettas" Jefferson
We can't blame you if you would rather have an elite WR to start . It's really a toss-up. Jefferson also has 85 speed and receiving ratings that rival the top WRs available at launch. You really can't make a mistake either way.
Which Hall of Fame Pre-order Player Should I Pick?
Unlike the AKA players, you really can make a mistake with your Hall of Fame choice. There is a significant gap between the best and worst Hall of Fame player item.
The first thing to keep in mind is which players you have coming from Rookie Premiere. If you know you have a position covered by a Rookie Premier player but have gaps elsewhere, you'll want to factor that into your decision. Here are our rankings:
1. Joe Thomas
It's not a flashy pick, but Thomas has respectable ratings and is likely to last on your offensive line for quite a while. You'll be able to spend your coins focusing on other positions.
Ware looks to be a solid pass-rusher compared to everyone else that we know is available at launch. 83 speed is great for his position and he has high enough power moves and finesse moves to beat the opposing offensive tackles he is likely to face. You could keep him at OLB or play him out-of-position at DE if that is a bigger need on your depth chart.
You can't really have too many good CBs early in a MUT season. While we wish he had just 1-2 more speed, this is a solid player item. You can slide him down the depth chart and still get some value out of Revis even after you pick up better corners.
4. Joe Klecko
While Klecko is a bit undersized for his position, DT is pretty important to stop the run early on. His 83 block shed rating should help with that.
5. Chuck Howley
Howley's ratings are actually pretty good. 82 zone coverage is great for a middle linebacker that you plan to leave in zone coverage. However, MLBs generally aren't very valuable in MUT. You're almost always better off using a safety at MLB if your formation allows it.
6. Zach Thomas
Thomas suffers from the same MLB problem as Howley. It's a decent player item at a position that doesn't bring a lot of value to MUT.
7. Ronde Barber
Don't pick Barber. There's just no room for an 80-speed corner in MUT, even on day 1. If you really want a corner, choose Revis.
We hope this helped you make your decisions on Madden 24 pre-order content. Let us know in the comments which players you selected. Good luck to all of you as you start your Madden Ultimate Team 24 journeys!
