Franchise Staff and Staff Points
The first new feature planned for M22 Franchise is a revamped Franchise Staff and Staff Points system. In M22, you will get to select your Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Player Personnel Department. As you play games and progress throughout your season, you will earn Staff Points that can be used to upgrade a coach's Talent Tree to fit your preferred playstyle. There will be more than 60+ Talents to choose from at launch with more planned for future updates.
Scouting
One of the most requested updates to Franchise was Scouting and EA is planning an update in September that provides this revamped system. You will now be able to manage and assign national and regional scouts to better evaluate prospects in order to uncover details about them. Similar to real-life Mock Drafts, you can expect to see your Draft Board change throughout the season as more prospect information is discovered.
Staff Positions
In Madden 22, Staff Points can be earned weekly by setting goals, playing games, and completing objectives. You will use these Staff Points to upgrade your staff through their Coach Talent Trees.
Weekly Strategy and Dynamic Gameday Integration
Every week in the NFL season presents new challenges and EA is looking to bring this next level of strategy to Franchise. Next-Gen stats and Dynamic Gameday Integration will provide players with detailed statistics and play call analysis that allows them to study upcoming opponents' strengths/weaknesses, manage their team's fatigue level, and assess first-half performance to make adjustments for the second half.
Below are some additional details of what you can expect to see in Weekly Strategy:
Enhanced Season Engine
An enhanced Season Engine is coming to Madden NFL 22 that will present players with true-to-life scenarios throughout the entire season. M22 Franchise will launch with over 35 unique scenarios and add more during the season through their Franchise Live Service commitment.
The example EA provides is a scenario where an elite QB can trigger a tiered breakout for a young wide receiver. As you advance through weeks, challenges get tougher but provide increased rewards and allow you to take a middle-of-the-road WR and turn him into one of the league's best. New choices and challenges that are unique to each story will be added throughout the year and impact on-field gameplay as well as off-the-field decision making.
Franchise Hub Updates
In an effort to make the most important information easily accessible, EA has overhauled the Franchise Hub. You will now find an activities list, weekly goals, an updated news screen, faster access to roster management screens, an enhanced league tab, and a members screen for online franchises that is easier to navigate.
