Strategy Items have replaced Physical and Scheme Chemistry from previous versions of MUT this season. While this new system can be a bit confusing at first, it will undoubtedly save time and Training Points in the end when switching your boosts. In today's article, we will cover the tiers of Strategy Items available at launch, how to upgrade them, the way boosts work, and where you can get these new items.
It's important to remember that at launch, you can equip 2 Offensive and 2 Defensive Strategy Items at a time. Also, be sure to pay attention to which position(s) these boosts will apply to that is printed on the front of the Strategy Item.

Upgrading Strategy Items
Common (1 version of each type)
There are 3 different boosts listed on a Common Strategy Item that will always be the same for every item of the same name. The first boost listed will always be active, no upgrades necessary. The next 2 boosts only apply after the card has been upgraded. Finally, the last upgrade for Common tier items will give you an extra boost to the first one listed on the item (See image below). In this case, fully upgrading the item gives a total of +2 DRR, +1 RLS, and +1 CTH.
Quicksell: 1,000 Coins
No Upgrade: Free (+1 DRR)
Tier 1: 75 TP (+1 RLS)
Tier 2: 125 TP (+1 CTH)
Tier 3: 200 TP (+1 DRR)
Uncommon (2 versions of each type)
Uncommon Strategy Items work exactly like Commons, but with one small twist. You will now see a 4th boost listed at the bottom in bold text. The boost in bold text on Uncommon items can be different for items with the same name. This boost is active with no upgrades necessary, while the 3 non-bolded text boosts for Deep Route Specialist always remain the same and upgrade in the same way as the Common tier.
Quicksell: 9,000 Coins
No Upgrade: Free (+1 AWR, +1 DRR)
Tier 1: 100 TP (+1 RLS)
Tier 2: 200 TP (+1 CTH)
Tier 3: 325 TP (+1 DRR)
Rare (6 versions of each type)
Rare Strategy Items work similarly to Uncommons, but you may notice an additional boost listed in bolded text. The first bold and non-bold boosts are active with no upgrade necessary. In this case, it's +1 SPC and +1 DRR. The first upgrade will unlock +1 RLS (it says BPR but it's the same thing). The next upgrade will give the same +1 CTH upgrade as Common and Uncommon Items do, but now also unlocks the 2nd bold boost. In this case, +1 CTH and +1 SPD are both unlocked at this tier. The final upgrade gives an additional boost to the first non-bold boost listed on the item (another +1 to DRR). Boosts listed in bold can vary since there are 6 different Rare versions of each Strategy type.
Quicksell: 50,000 Coins
No Upgrade: Free (+1 SPC, +1 DRR)
Tier 1: 150 TP (+1 RLS)
Tier 2: 350 TP (+1 CTH, +1 SPD)
Tier 3: 400 TP (+1 DRR)
Do Strategy Items Stack?
Yes and no. Identical items that share the same name, tier, and boosts will not stack. Boosts listed in the non-bolded text will only stack when the name of the item is different. For example, Deep Route Specialist and Play Fake both boost DRR. Because these items have two different names, the non-bolded boosts will stack when upgraded.
With that said, Rare Strategy Items with the same name and tier can stack bold boosts only if the items are different. For example, a Deep Route Specialist with bolded boosts of +SPC and +SPD, combined with a Deep Route Specialist with bolded boosts of +AWR and +SPC, can get +2 SPC when both are upgraded.
