The process for claiming Twitch Drops has changed since last year and that has caused a little confusion for new players and returning ones alike. In today's article, we're going to cover this new claiming process step-by-step to help you get everything set up to start collecting Drops.
If you're wondering what Twitch Drops are, they are free packs you get in Ultimate Team for watching Good Morning Madden and EA-approved streamers on Twitch. These packs contain 4x random cards each. Sometimes you can get lucky and pull an Elite Player or Power Up with some value, but the worst-case scenario is you quicksell everything and get free Training Points.
Linking Your Accounts
The first thing you need to do is link your Gamertag/PSN ID to your EA account. Next, you will link your EA account to your Twitch account. If you have trouble with these steps, contact EA Help for support. If you're already linked up, skip to the "Steps for Claiming Twitch Drops" section.

Steps for Claiming Twitch Drops
Now that you're all linked up, it's time to find a Madden NFL 22 stream with Twitch Drops enabled. Good Morning Madden has Drops enabled during their streams on Tuesday through Thursday at 10:30 AM ET each week. Last year, Madden Live was a program that rewarded Drops for watching EA-approved streamers during the day. If this program returns, we will post the schedule with stream links in the news on the homepage.
- Once you have located a stream with Drops enabled, the first step will be to open your profile on Twitch. Click on your avatar and you will see the following menu:
- In the previous image, you will notice a section called "Drops". This section will show your progress towards receiving one free pack. You can open this menu periodically to see your updated progress and once you have hit 100%, you must MANUALLY claim the Drop. If more than one Drop is available in a stream, your progress will not reset until you have claimed the first. See the image below:
- Once you have reached 100% and have clicked on this option, the following Drops Inventory screen will pop up and allow you to claim your reward:
- You have now completed all steps required to claim your Twitch Drop. Sometimes Drops can show up instantly on your in-game account and other times there may be a slight delay. I have received some instantly and others have shown up an hour or two later. If you've completed every step, you should be rewarded with the following pack:
