This year's Ultimate Champion has been announced as former Seahawks SS Kam Chancellor. In previous years, this item was known as MUT Master but has been renamed for MUT 22. The program is fundamentally the same with a few small wrinkles that are specific to the Ultimate Champion ONLY. This year's Ultimate Champion will still have all Team Chemistries available. How to get UC Kam Chancellor
In order to unlock Ultimate Champion Kam Chancellor for your team, you must first reach MUT Level 5 and THEN score a touchdown in any game mode. Once you have completed these steps, you will receive the following item:
Once you have unlocked the base version of Ultimate Champion Chancellor, it's time to start upgrading! At launch, there are 19 Ultimate Champion Activities. Completing each one will reward you with an Ultimate Champion Collectible needed to upgrade UC Chancellor's OVR rating. Examples of Activities can be found below:
New X-Factor
While revealing Ultimate Champion Kam on stream, Agent K gave us a look at his X-Factor slot and there's a new Ability known as "Reinforcement Elite". The current cost to equip it is 6 AP but it will start in the zone (active). Its description says "Higher chance to defeat run blocks & disrupt catches". It will be interesting to see how this X-Factor performs on the field.
Discounted Abilities
Another interesting difference with this year's Ultimate Champion is the 4th Ability Slot. Once unlocked, this slot will offer a few Superstar Abilities at a Training and AP discount. The examples shown on stream were Deep In Zone KO for 1 AP, Enforcer for 1 AP, or Out My Way for 0 AP.
Secondary Positions
Ultimate Champion Kam Chancellor has secondary position chemistry available for the cornerback and free safety positions. This allows for more flexibility when building your team in case you already have a good SS or simply need additional help at those secondary positions. The CB secondary position is unlocked at 94 OVR, but no word on exactly when FS is unlocked.
