The Sugar Rush program wrapped up last Sunday with the egg players hatching on Easter morning. Now that the program is done for the year, we’re going to look back and rank our top 10 Sugar Rush players. While the Sugar Rush program suffered from being the last major program without the improved ability buckets, there are still some solid players you should consider adding to your team.
Top 10 Sugar Rush Players in MUT 23
1. 98 OVR Jaycee Horn (CB)
Jaycee Horn is our favorite player in the Sugar Rush program. He’s 6’1” with 98 speed, 98 man coverage, 98 change of direction, and 97 agility. His abilities are best suited for a man coverage scheme. He can equip both Inside Shade and Outside Shade for 2 AP, which is the same as One Step Ahead. If you need a man coverage corner that plays both inside and outside of the numbers, consider Horn. If you don’t need Outside Shade, you could equip Inside Shade, Pick Artist, and Acrobat for 3 AP total.
2. 98 OVR Brandon Marshall (WR)
Brandon Marshall is the big, physical WR that MUT players love. He’s 6’5” with 97 speed, 99 jumping, and 99 break tackle. He also has 84 strength, 82 run block, and 85 impact blocking which are all high for a WR. He can equip your choice of Deep Out Elite, Honorary Lineman, Red Zone Threat, or Short In Elite for 0 AP. He also has Mid In Elite, Short In Elite, and WR Apprentice in a separate bucket for just 1 AP each.
3. 98 OVR Darren Waller (TE)
Waller is a huge wide receiver that plays the tight end position. He’s not on the field the block. He’s out there to attack the defense in the air downfield. He’s 6’6” with 97 speed, 99 catching, 99 catch in traffic, and 97 spectacular catch. Our favorite ability stack on Waller is Short In Elite for 0 AP and Red Zone Threat for 1 AP.
4. 98 OVR Ty Law (CB)
At 5’11”, a lot of MUT players will overlook Ty Law as an elite CB. He’s one of a few players that can equip One Step Ahead for 3 AP if you need that versatility in man coverage. Instead, you could go with Pick Artist for 0 AP along with Acrobat for 1 AP. It’s also worth mentioning that Law is currently the only cornerback in the game that can equip Secure Tackler for 0 AP.
5. 98 OVR Morgan Moses (RT)
Morgan Moses is an endgame right tackle. He has 97 strength, 97 awareness, 99 run block, and 99 pass block. He gets Secure Protector for 1 AP at the same time as your choice of Nasty Streak, Post Up, or Puller Elite for 0 AP.
6. 98 OVR Chris Lindstrom (RG)
Chris Lindstrom is the fastest natural-position offensive lineman in the game (92 SPD, 91 ACC). That makes him an ideal choice for an offense that includes pulling-guard runs. In addition to solid blocking ratings, Lindstrom can equip Secure Protector and Nasty Streak for 1 AP total.
7. 98 OVR Marshon Lattimore (CB)
Lattimore is yet another CB that gets the popular zone coverage ability stack of Pick Artist, Deep Out Zone KO, and Flat Zone KO for 2 AP total. He has the athleticism and coverage ratings to get the job done. You can pick up Lattimore for just over 400k coins right now, and since this is an LTD item, it quicksells for 350k coins when you’re done with him. There isn’t much room left for his price to fall.
8. 98 OVR Von Miller (RE)
Von Miller is about as good as a pass-rusher can be right now without the special Unstoppable Force X-Factor abilities from the AKA program. He has 92 speed, 96 finesse moves, 98 power moves, all the pass rush traits, and solid abilities. Miller gets Edge Threat Elite and Double or Nothing for just 1 AP total.
9. 98 OVR Davante Adams (WR)
Davante Adams is another respectable option at WR. His ratings are in line with all of the other top WRs in MUT right now. He gets your choice of Short In Elite or Short Out Elite for 0 AP and Route Tech for just 1 AP.
10. 98 OVR Justin Fields (QB)
If you’re looking to change things up at quarterback, Fields might be the man for your team. He has 98 speed stock and all the passing ratings you need. He has the Generic 3 release, so PIHCAM recommends running Gunslinger for 0 AP to speed it up. He can also equip Hot Route Master and Set Feet Lead for 3 AP total.
Give Us Your Feedback
It’s getting a little more difficult to rank players each week as we’re running up against the 99 rating caps, especially with chemistry boosts. Also, ability discounts and stacks seem to have plateaued so there’s really not much separating high-end players at this stage of the MUT season. Leave a comment and let us know what you think we got right and what we missed.
Thanks again to Hurc and Hodgey from the MUT.GG Discord server and PIHCAM from Huddle.gg for their help creating this week’s list.
Have a great weekend!
