I have tokens for reel deal players but don't know how to use them

how do you use reel deal tokens I've been searching online and still have no idea how, for example I have roman reigns tokens but can't use them on his 95 so where do I use them? Help is needed thank you for whoever can help

This item has 2 in-game objectives on the Reel Deals Field Pass that reward upgrade tokens once completed. The first token unlocks the player's Tier 1 Showtime X-Factor. The second token unlocks the player's Tier 2 Showtime X-Factor and Custom 3 ability bucket.

Looks like you can only use them on the 98's

so your saying I can only use my tokens on the 98? So I have to buy 98 then use them on them?
