Broke down and built a vanguard-counter defense

Since these vanguard players have come into vogue, I’ve always made sure to have run stuffer/ reinforcement on my sub LBs, but that doesn’t cut it anymore . I faced 3 or 4 stretch/RPO/bubble screen merchants in a row and just couldn’t take it anymore. Without players that can stand up on the perimeter, you’re screwed. Now have Carmichael and Mean Joe as my outside corners with reinforcement 😂

Also, just as a side note, I try so hard not to judge HOW people want to experience the game… but how is this rewarding or engaging for anyone???? Is winning in this game so important that you’re good with sucking any creativity or challenge out of offense? If you’re like playing for money, I get it. But these comp passes aren’t that important lol

Yeah I agree with you on the enjoyment part. were in the endgame IG. personally I enjoy all of the ridiculous players, but if ur just going to run the ball 60 times a game then ima just quit. It’s not creative or enjoyable.

I get what you are saying, but if one is going to attempt to stop my I-form/strong close formations with dollar and nothing else, then I am going to keep running the ball down their throat lol.

on the counter to that about stretch rpo.. the glitch blitz/6-1  bums are just as bad and what causes the offense to be ran over n over. 

add in all the knockouts and shit there's almost no point in even trying to pass much. its just too broken

Why would you run anything different , I'm pretty sure hes talking about when you use everything in your wheel house to stop the run and it wont work its just crazy nut i rarely quit on those guys because madden takes but it also gives back

In my defense, my original comment that you replied too was made on June 14, before the "vanguard made" offenses got completely out of hand. But in the current game, yah you have to have ST's every where and constantly be shifting your line and lb's and pray that you shoot the right gap.

Oh it has got to adjust those abilities and line
