Just made it into the first round of my playoffs. Played some pretty tough competition along the way with very good teams. My first game in the playoffs I come across a guy that his best OVR player was Anthony Richardson, also Dalton Kincaid. Kid had 86 OVR receivers and were eating my 92 rated cornerbacks alive. If I didn't man up on the route myself, it was open. I tried man, I tried zone, I tried coming out in base and using exotic blitzes... His 83 OVR lineman was destroying my lineman even while blitzing.
On the other side of the field on offense.. He came out exclusively in a 4-6-1 defense mostly using cover 1. His man coverage was the best I've seen up to this point. None of my man besters would work. I have a 92 rated Justin Jefferson that is on a Vikings theme team he has a 93 speed and he was getting absolutely locked down by an 86 Brandon Stevens.
His D was getting pressure almost instantly as soon as I snapped the ball. This is without blitzing. I feel very stupid for spending money on this game just to have my players be completely out played by an inferior team. Not saying I want to be blowing guys out all of the time. But we put money into this game just to have our players play down to the opponent.
I understand EA wants the newcomers to spend money, but they need to put them against other newcomers. Unfortunately, we'll never be able to prove it which is genius in EA's part. Unless someone steals the coding to the game (which obviously is illegal).. We'll never be able to prove it.. But they're making it painfully obvious.
