Just wanted to do the fastest rant possible. Opponent was playing mostly five wide. I bagged it like half the time, and then his 77 SPEED JOE MONTANA OUTRAN MY 93 SPEED JOSH ALLEN ON LIKE 5 DIFFERENT DOWNS TO KEEP THE DRIVE ALIVE. Like wtf… I ended up losing by a field goal.

Did you run 4 lineman, did you use a qb contain, did you try leaving a spy? If you didn't try any of those things it's probably on you. If you did try those things you kinda just got outplayed. Rough lol.

I contain every play so he would scramble up the middle, but I always had Josh Allen as a qb spy or in a middle hook, and his Joe Montana would just outrun Allen to the right side of the field and for like 8 yards.

In that case you should have tried bringing some extra heat off the edge. If my opponent continually rolls out or scrambles I start sending OLBs or CBs on blitzes and it can result in some really fast sacks. Shit ESPECIALLY if he doesn't have a RB in the backfield to help pick up the extra blitzer. When you bring another guy from the outside you can pinch and slant your D-line inside and sometimes it will result in some really fast sheds, especially when pass committing (which I'm sure you were doing since there was no one in the backfield).

The problem is my defense is dollar so I can only rush extra players if I blitz a slot c, which usual results in blown coverage.

At that point you have to user the area he's leaving open temporarily until it clears out and hopefully whatever receiver moves through it gets picked up by the other DBs shortly thereafter otherwise the middle of the field will be open. Dollar is pretty vulnerable to runs up the middle and QB scrambles if you aren't sending any extra pass rush. Try mixing in some Nickel with it from time to time. What playbook you in?

Chiefs. And yeah, I should use more formations on defense, but I have my 2 high safeties with deep out.

Run the big nickel over G, it's got a stock cover 2 play with a bluff blitz DT. all you have to do to box empty is blitz your user and hover around the LOS, and adjust zone drops as needed for whatever they are trying to throw. If they try to take off with a QB they will either be contained or you can hit R3 and the DT will come grab them, I move 91 Reggie white to DT when I do this.
For some reason you get good sheds as long as the game thinks you are rushing 4, so if your user is blitzing and you are close enough to the los where the green dots appear above his head, your 3 man rush will get sheds the same as a 4 man rush would. Also, on occasion I'd send a 5 man blitz with a user bluff anyways just to heat him up and try to make a mistake.
