OK, I've tried so hard not to waste my time complaining on a madden forum about a video game, but this is crazy, so here goes:
This fatigue issue is so much bigger than just a simple glitch in a video game. This, to me, is intentional gameplay and market manipulation to push a cash grab by EA.
First, who asked for this? Sorry, but if you want to run spinner and DB fire all day, be my guest. I'm cool with it. I used to run dollar all day in past Maddens, but finally they made LB's work again w/ lurk artist, so I switched to even 6-1. I've used all the blitzes you see in madden and I've been able to counteract all the blitzes you see in madden. It's gameplay, like chess, read and react, that's what makes the game fun. You gotta work to get people out of their base sets. I have no interest in playing a game where everyone is forced to run the same defense.
However, now, in the middle of the Madden season, they decide, you know what? Let's not only completely change the ability of DB's to have any affect in the game, let's also implement this completely incorrectly, so players will have to now adjust their entire defensive lineup. Let's have everyone scramble mid season to make sure they have DE's big enough (90lb buffer for LT's and RT's) to not get fatigued (because EA messed up the pwr and fnm threshold), no need to have TJ Watt or Will Anderson, two prolific players, be relevant in the game. Then, we get to find backup LB's and DB's at each position that are actually playable because if my starters are touched by a lineman in the run game (even if they're not blitzing) they're going yellow to red. Oh, also if you run a theme team, good luck because more than likely your ability to have a decent backup isn't there. So, sell off the TT at a loss and start over. If EA wanted to do this for next year's Madden, then great! I'll know this going in and create my lineup and strategy accordingly.
Also, lets look at the logic. Irl, Who gets subbed in most in the NFL? Is it DB's and LB's? Or is it DLine? Is it the 330lb DT that's about to keel over after 6 plays or the 190 DB? So somehow, the overweight Lineman has the stamina of a track star, but DB's get touched and there like "naw, I'm out".
Also, there is no counter for this. Can't even spend 1 ap on recuperation to help this (i've tried).
To top it, there's some of you stand up MUT participants out there that just love to manipulate the AI, so what do you do? Collect every lineman above 360 lbs., Spam stretch and hurry up to whittle down stamina instead of just play the damn game like a boss. Ya'll need to take a shower because your scum.
Anyway, let's see how long it takes for EA to fix this "mistake". Maybe as fast as it takes to fix a pack glitch? Nope, My guess is just enough time to buy an entire new lineup, so you can buy them all back again at a loss once it's fixed. Unreal.
