Does match coverage use the zone skill or man skill once a DB picks up a WR? I know if you press your corners it turns into MEG so does that use your zone or man attribute? And is that any different than what attribute a safety would call on for picking up a crosser?
I never thought about this, but I'd love to see if anyone knows the answer. My guess is that it still uses the ZCV attribute.
never thought about this either lol

That's my intuition too, but can't say for sure
i think it does because i played it a lot last year and never noticed it to do anything wired
I’ve heard it uses both but I’m not sure where. Check out Zan’s videos. He’s the most knowledgeable I’ve seen on match concepts.
i believe it still uses zone skill. cant really run one and get the other unless maybe you call a audible to man up. thats just my thinking.

Once a player "matches" he will rely on his man coverage rating to defend that receiver. When it comes to abilities however, they will rely on Zone KO abilities rather than man KO abilities.
Also in regards to MEG, it does depend on the offensive formation/defensive playcall to determine whether MEG is the coverage that will be played with press coverage.
