O line AP/Traits

Is it worth spending AP on the oline ? Specifically the LT and RT ?? Seems like no matter who I have my FULLY upgraded Madden just shuffles his feet and lets the DE run right around him , or my RT will completely whiff on a block or not even get a hand on his guy sometimes, any tips ??  Or recommended O line man , Thanks in advance boys 😎

The short answer is that it depends on if AP is useful on the oline. 

If you're struggling with the way your players are moving and even seeing players miss the block completely, there isn't an ability that will fix that. 

One thing you want to focus on is the different types of blocking that are in the game between Long T's, Short T's, Pistol, and Play Action. Here is a video that we did on college football earlier in the year but the rules apply to Madden as well ---> https://youtu.be/h7X6d07IhIw

Certain pressures your opponent sends will also mess up the way your line is blocking if you're not utilizing slide protection, ID the Mike, etc. 

Blocking in this game can get very detailed, depending on the defense your opponent is running. 

I'm personally using Lynchpin (helps entire oline run block better), Nasty Streak, Identifier for 2 AP total by utilizing the 0 AP Zero Chill cards.

The abilities I use are going to help with the run but not necessarily with the pass game. 

Awareness is an important rating for your offensive lineman and your Center's awareness counts for double and cancels out your lowest lineman's awareness. That will help them pick up blitzes on their own a bit more as well as the slide protection/ID/etc. 

So for instance if your line looks like this:

LT - 90 awareness
LG - 82 awareness
C - 91 awareness
RG - 90 awareness
RT - 89 awareness

The Center will cancel out and replace the 82 awareness LG.

Clutch!! I always wondered what THE best stat was for lineman obviously blocking stats but never knew the awareness for the center did that ! Thank you 🙏🏽
