This happens mostly to my rb king henry and tight end (98 gronk), but also when I throw the ball downfield with my 95 Cunningham (fearless, pass lead elite, slinger). the ball will look perfect and it will bounce right off my players' hands or hit them in the head/shoulders on short out routes and seams mostly. This happens most often when I use free form to pass lead but also a good amount when I do not. in addition to this when I throw deep balls like posts, corners, go's, wheels, etc. and I freeform the ball in front or to the left or right, the ball will look like its perfect but i'll get an animation where they sort of stumble and reach out but don't reach the ball. Do I need a new qb? or maybe do not use free form as much (even though I feel like it helps a ton when this does not happen)?
I have the same problem Seems to be on mostly quick out breaking routes . Try throwing on the run on purpose and or equipping a deadeye ability. For isntance I run alot of swing screens and I always over throw it if I dont do something weird . But with Lofting deadeye or Pocket deadeye Its always a completion .

I would definitely consider it but I just can't justify the AP hit, seems like when I try to freeform or highball, the passes are nearly half of the time out of range on deep passes and tight windows. This is amplified a hundredfold when you are either outside of the pocket or if you sit in there for too long
