How do I mute myself in game chat but still hear ppl on PC Madden 24?

Basically the title. I tried changing the output in volume mixer but I don't think that really works. But a friend of mine cant be heard but can hear ppl.

Why would you want to hear other people?  Do you enjoy getting insulted by 12 year-olds?
