I saw a post recently on the forums describing how someone made millions sniping and I thought it was an excellent guide. Because of this I wanted to hop on here and describe how I have sniped and made coins by playing the game every day and using the companion app in my down time.
First tip: Be Patient. There is going to be days where the market is moving slowly especially on non-content days, on these days I like to jump on to the game and complete the daily list, especially playing 2 solo battles games. After that I will either Log off, play my franchise, or do the GAP method / Snipe. When I was left with roughly 10K last week before the super bowl promo because I upgraded my team when the market crashed the biggest things that helped me were the Daily coin packs and the midfield pack. If you were like me and stuck around 10K always do the GAP pack method and sell everything back. You can expect a 60-100% ROI depending on your pulls. Another part of being patient is waiting to upgrade your team. I know everyone wants the shiny new top WR or RB that comes out but wait until that card becomes the 4-5th best at its position then buy it, for example everyone wanted cordarelle patterson once he came out so he was 300k now he's barely above 200k. Even though Patterson is still a top back in the game. A little side tip too is always try to keep a floor amount of coins. If you set a floor of 100k coins and never fall below that you would not have to worry about having no coins to do anything with.
Second Tip: Weekend League, H2H, and solo battles. No matter your skill at the game you should at least attempt to play weekend league and solo battles if you have the time. I am a very average player at the game and I still earn roughly 200k a week just by getting lengendary in solo battles and 11 wins in weekend league. I know it is a frustrating thing to play a bunch of sweats in WL but if you can at least get to 11 wins then stop playing or maybe even 13 and be done please do because if you don't work the market or do coin methods this is the easiest and most effortless/free way to make coins and will be consistently 200k coins throughout the year. While H2H is still sweaty at times it is a lot less stresful than WL and you can still get 30-40k for completing a season. So if you're the opposite of me and hate working the market and sniping but enjoy playing the game try these methods to make coins.
Third Tip: Working the Market. When working the market there is typically three things you can do. 1) Snipe cards and resell on the market, this is a slow and steady grind and something I would only recommend to those with 200+ K coins. I will leave a spreadsheet that I try to update daily or on content days (Originally Kinny's Sheet but I made a copy that I try to update daily). I would recommend starting with this amount because you can comfortably snipe 90+ cards and make 5k profit per snipe. When sniping always sell for the market value of a card just because it says 90s sell for 30ish K that doesn't mean every 90 is 30k there are some that go for way more so just do the research. 2) Investing, while not as cromulent in past years you still may be able to do this. I would not recommend investing in power ups but rather cards with a lower OVR card in their power up path that will be getting upgraded. Example: Ladanian Tomlinson and Lawrence Taylor. Both these cards will more than likely get powerful ultimate legends so it might be worth stashing 3-4 Tomlinsons and 1-2 Taylors if you have coins. 3) Buy lower cards and make sets. This is the most effective method if you get to around 100k coins and making 84 or 88 team builders or other profitable sets, people may not want to do this because it involves a lot of time and effort looking for the most profitable sets but if you can make an 84 TB for 6,000 (1500 for 80-81s and 500 for 75-79s) and sell for 10,000 at least you're making 3,000 per set and making 48,000 hourly if you use all 100k into those sets.
Fourth Tip: Never Ever Buy Packs or Do ReRolls. Packs and rerolls are always a risk, and most of the time the house wins unless you get on an insane heater. If you are willing to risk some coins or if you're strapped with coins you can of course buy packs or do rolls but if you end up making profit at any time get out and accept the profit. There has been too many times this year where I would roll and make profit but because I would be greedy I would roll and roll til I was out of training and the same goes for packs. So just stay away from them if you can and use your coins to make more coins in a safer way like sniping or making sets.
Fifth and final tip: Use cards that are given to you or cheap for the price AKA Rentals. The best way to make coins this year is by replacing some of the better cards on your team with NCAT cards or Rentals that are marginal downgrades. For example, all 4 of the Zero Chill LTDS are meta cards in the game and were able to be bought for basically 30k when they were in rolls because of the 250k quick sell value. Using these cards and replacing some of the cards on your team can make your team diverse but also allows you to build a coin stack when you don't have to worry about a cards value sinking. If you are able to make sets during a promo for 360k and sell the master for 300k and gets basically 3 95s for 90k who wouldn't want to do that or adding the new 93 BHM cards. 6 of the 8 cards are usable on lower level or higher-level teams because of the cheap abilities and some of their stats are sneaky good like Lamar, Paye and Thomas.
I hope you take the time to read these tips and apply them to your game especially if you need coins or just want a guide to follow to help hold on to coins and build a healthy stack for the year.
