It looks like season 2 players should upgrade to 89 OVR.
But the highest upgrade that can be bought for season tickets is 87. The highest upgrade reward in Season 2 is 88 at level 50.
Am I missing something? Or is there no way to get a season 2 player to 89 OVR?
An 88 might make it to 89 with 20/20 TT. But an 88 looks like it should make 89 without a TT.

They're intentionally time gating the ability for us to upgrade them past 87. Probably won't be able to until overall increase to 89-90.
Its been brought up already. Nobody knows and no info from ea ofc. Im guessing it will be addressed later on.
I have a feeling they are being gated by EA so they dont have free 88/89s on people's teams until later.
I bet here in a few weeks they will drop a way to get them to 88 and 89 OVR .
I'm thinking they will drop 88-89 tickets. So I'm saving all my tIckets till they do so I can fully upgrade the ones I want then

They might be doing this, but it is a really bad idea. If they want to time gate this, they should put it in the shop day 1, but have it locked until a certain date. I want to know how many tickets I need to earmark so I know how many I can spend on packs, but now I need to hoard tickets and wait until they announce it. So dumb.
Yea this is a such a bad move by EA to at least not give us a preview of how much each will cost.

Your idea is a great way to do it. Put the 88/89 upgrades in the shop day 1 and time gate them. Without that, there's no way to plan.
My guess would be 1400-1550 tickets for 88 and 1600-1800 for 89
They will probably release a bonus fiield pass where you can pay to unlock levels to unlock additional tickets and tokens.
This is dumb. So are the H2H ranked rewards. I stopped playing once I unlocked Pitts, but they just released a faster tight end today, and pitts still won't be here for 11 days... The top corner reward we get is already 2 speed outdated and maybe even more by the time they are released. Just give us everything at once. We still have to earn the tickets and get the wins to unlock them. People will still spend money, EA.
They will release the 89 card when it’s pointless to even bother because 90-91 cards will be out. I don’t like the idea of the cards being dead all free the last update card. Mccaffery is dead, Lewis is dead, and my Crosby is dead. They are obsolete already. How good willl my 89 Kirk cousins be if I can even get him to that??? When I can, Jordan love will be down in price and I’ll pick that up. Everything they do is carefully planned out to screw us over. The same people that give them billions of dollars…we are the ones they hate.
