So here in a few weeks we will have teams running around with 99’s at every position? Is this how it is ever single year? Seems pointless to not cap the OVR’s and make it competitive. What’s the point in playing after the Super Bowl and not playing NBA2K?
First time playing MUT this year, so please ignore my ignorance, just honestly asking questions. I’ve had great matchups until recently after the Zero Chill issue where people cashed in on an insane amount of coins.
cuz its more fun in like may with GTs and busted abilities and OOP cards+the 99s rn will be with chems so not like 99 speed or anything like the 99s we will see later
Simply because Players are going to continually get better cards and will get better abilities. TT's will also rise. It gets hella fun and unrealistic towards the end of Madden, which is what I look for in an Ultimate Team type mode
Sounds like I need to be patient and embrace it! Didn’t think about the TT aspect. Might be a good time for me to ditch my legends TT and try some other options

Possibly. From memory, TT's start to become better around The Super Bowl
A full gold 99 team isint normally obtainable till aiprl/march and maybe eve later this year since we have no power ups.
Dont look at the overall. Overalls are falsely inflated. Its the one thing EA continues to do to convince its consumers to continuously buy packs to make their team "better". In the past they have juiced a HBs throwing power and an olines route running to increase their overall even though that stat would not be relevant to their position. There are 96s that are not better than some 93 and 94s. You really need to look at key stats for each positon. Regardless of how many players have blue 99s on their TT, newer/ better cards will always be released. This year, abilities really make the difference so I would worry less about a team of 99 overalls and more about a team full of guys with 0 AP abilities.
My opinion 99 overalls are overpowered like davante adams
