TLDR: first ever online game glitched on me, opponent quit, and the next morning EA removed all my coins for violating their TOS.
I only play the solo challenges and in seeing that it's going to be tight with the Theme Team experience to get Demaryius Thomas, I decided to give my first game of House Rules a try for the passing yards and tackles. I stink it up pretty bad and am losing 21-6 (something with the connection was bad and every time I tried to kick, the meter went haywire. I'd like to assume nothing nefarious from my opponent but it only occurred at those times...
Anyway, at a certain point late in the game, I wasn't able to select a play. The play clock went to zero, with no flag, but I had no plays to choose. I tried to pause but nothing happened. I called a timeout and the same thing happened again. After some more time my opponent quit the game and I was awarded 900 coins for the win.
I now wake up the next morning with an email from EA that all my coins were removed due to violating their terms of service. WHAT THE HELL?? I play one game online that glitches out on me and I had 1.4M coins removed (I've been saving for weeks if not months for Champ Bailey, John Elway, and DeMarcus Ware). Now it's all gone! I submitted a request to EA yesterday but still haven't heard back. What can I do? As of now, I'm never buying an EA game ever again.
