looking for a new QB. Was using Levis but he was nerfed. I know Richardson had a nice release last year so just curious if it's still good.
I use him and he is pretty solid. His TOR is not the best and might have an occasional wild ball while rolling out. If you’re a pocket passing kind of player he is a good choice. If someone gets pressure on you his escapability is solid due to that 88 speed. He also breaks sacks like crazy.
I liked him a lot.
I really thought about going back to him after selling Randall, but decided to try Lamar instead. With Lamar's stupid hot route bug/glitch/whatever you want to call it, I might go back to him until we get someone else.
I do run w/ the QB a lot (I run an option/RPO/QB power power scheme a lot), so that plays heavily in my opinion about him. His release is fine (same as Josh Allen if you've used him), and haven't had anymore WTF throws w/ him that I would w/ anyone else. I can attest to what dark said above, he breaks a stupid amount of tackles (I run on conservative) compared to others guys I've tried (Randall, Vick, Lamar, etc).
He's almost quicksell value, so I think he's worth a shot for sure.
Still using Richardson on my 89 ovr team and came to echo the above comments.
From the pocket he makes every throw for me. I find he has some extra arc/zip that QBs around his stats/price lack. That besides, he's also very nice to scramble with. His biggest issue by far is his throw on the run, which will occasionally cause have him to throw balls into the dirt for seemingly no reason on rollouts. He still makes the throws at a decent clip, but it's frequent enough I'd mark it as the only major "hole" in his game. You can play around this issue pretty well by taking the time to set your feet on rollouts when you can (often, given his speed) and avoiding throwing into tight coverage/under pressure while rolling (unless the reward outweighs the risk!)
Overall, I'd absolutely recommend him if you're looking for a QB in the tier below the true top-end QB1s
