Any idea how well Mid Zone KO is on outside corners in cover 4 scheme?

I know deep zone KO is the end all be all, but there just isn't a lot of good zone corners to match my washington TT with deep KO.

Cromartie has mid zone for 1 ap, would it work well on him on the outside for cover 4 with stopping corners and such? Or just not worth it?

I don’t think it’ll activate if he’s on the outside. Flat zone ko would be better

Mid Zone KO is great on linebackers and safeties that regularly play zone coverage over the middle. It increases you chances to knock the ball out when in zone coverage, between the numbers, and less than 20 yards deep from the line of scrimmage. It can be effective on cloud/curl flat zones as well since it also actives outside the numbers between 10 and 20 yards deep. This is an ideal location to help defend corner routes

Now granted, I tried to use this setup, and didn’t have much success with mid zone lighting up… I’ve went back to deep out’s and utilizing my AP on my dline for pass rush & run stopping abilities instead

Dang, looks like it’s pretty useless on corners, since between 10-20 yards and outside the numbers is such a small area, compared to 20 yards and outside the hashmarks for deep zone ko

I run it on my slot corner, or corners 3 and 4 in dollar. Great on your sub LB’s too.

IMO Mid Zone KOs on outside corners is an absolute MUST. I'm choosing this over free Pick Artist, despite the steep AP cost. Mid Zone can be a little glitchy, it tends to activate an awful lot and people love to throw those double corners, one of which will almost certainly get below your 20 yard Deep Zone KOs.

In a perfect world I'd also have Mid Zone on both Safeties, even in, out especially when running Cover 4 Quarters, which I do quite often. Excellent run defense, as well, if you bring both Safeties down into the box. Trying to play some 3-4 Odd (Cover 4 Quarters) lately, which is basically on par with Even 6-1, but still gets that sweet A-gap pressure, often untouched.

On Slot corners, I prefer Flat Zone. Currently sitting 2AP on D-line (for Sapp & George X-factors) the rest goes to DBs. KO, KO, KO.

So you run mid zone on outside cbs without deep zone?

I run the same team I have DRC and Champ ( it's a bit much on him.) on the outside and run more of a cover 3 type of scheme mixed in with some cover 2 had ty law w/ token  and Sean up top and yes I will say mid zone is defiantly worth it on outside corners cause it covers slants, curls, outs and certain corners (there's different ones depending playbook)  even activates close to the red-zone. eventually will get cheaper discount abilities *cough* ROH Deion,Fuller,Vincent *cough* but from my experience it's defiantly good.
