When you are on a little win streak in champions it will take a long time to find an opponent and then you play a sweaty game? Is that EAs way of saying “no more wins for you”?

More than likely. It's like in BR for MLB or back when you 2K made you go 12-0 for a card. The more wins you get, the harder the opponent is going to be.

and sometimes you go up 14-0 and they stick around to sweat it out because their one play touchdown almost worked on the first two drives

Generally the matchmaking logic will put you up against a "better" player if you're getting a lot of wins. Didn't work this time though lol. I'm still going strong off a six game win streak after winning the super bowl.

Yes it is designed that way so you don’t get too many consecutive wins and also to make you keep 2nd guessing your lineup so you keep buying new players.
