It's one of those things where it's probably smart to do so based on past years but we won't know for sure until EA reveals how presents will work this year. I could see EA doing something like they did with most feared this year and the only way to get presents is some alternate currency.

You can only have 200 items this year…
rerolls have been awful…
small presents have been the move, limit ruins it…
big presents haven’t been anything special outside of LTD which price of those tank on day of release.
training is kinda pointless currently and difficult to get without the return of bnds from sets
