EA is not going full comic book mode for little Jimmy. They jumble the up the game  after the SB to drive away as many players a possible. Players quit, forget about madden. Then when football seasons rolls around they look at the promises & two new features of the game (this year its a diving throw & players now use tetris logic when making cuts lol.) 

                    Big budget EA also markets the new 'update' everywhere  I mean everywhereand then they cave & buy it. On my  now once weekly scroll though espn.com EA had some kind of rating revel show ad. 

The skill gap is much wider after SB to me.

I'll be staying on 23 until the back end of the year, maybe even up to March next. I really only bother with solos as an NMS way of building a team; once I have a half-decent one, I just play H2H anyway. And this year there are actually some other football games coming out. I'm definitely not doing anything until I see what they're like.

As to content, it's been really dull again this year so I don't know why some people say they're moving for the 'content'? When all the solos are just snippets of gameplay where you need to pass 5 times, prevent 10 yards or kick a 35-yard FG it gets boring real quick. It's just lazy on EA's part as it requires no extra programming - it's just Solo Battles in small chunks. And it's soooo dull. Why not have a QB drill where you need to knock the heads off snowmen in Zero Chill, or kill zombies with bullet passes come October? How about having drills where players do sprint drills at the Combine and get a +2SPD card as a reward? Or your lineman can lift weights to improve strength and blocking? Anything to break up the monotony. As it is, you get a load of cards that'll be worth jack shit 5 weeks later and some Unis that virtually no one will use. It's shit. 

And Solo Battles!?? Man!! Playing a 30-minute game on Rookie to get 250 passing yards is just a pain in the ass. And, let's face it the rewards for all that grinding have been dog shit since Feb. Anyone been playing long enough to remember mini-games? And create a team?? If stuff like that comes back then there's a reason to pick up 24 but it doesn't look like it's happening. Its the usual EA nonsense of promoting the butt off of a whole load of 'new features' that aren't new or features. EA just wants people pumping real $$ in into MUT and the whole game is geared to that.

I always quit madden at xmas when all the stupid cards come out. 

They need to put a salary cap mode in or at least keep speed ratings realistic.

Starting in April allows you to buy the 95-99 cards for way cheaper than when they are first released. I’ll be fine if I miss out on my 90 BND most feared player or my 95 BND ghost for the Xmas promo. Basically I’m skipping out on all the overpriced content the first 6 months of the game if that makes sense.

That's exactly what I'm worried about for myself lol! But probably not because i'm tired of EA's bullshit and i want to see how 2k does their NFL game.

IIRC This was the guy about to get a divorce over his madden playing time. For me if I play MUT is purely  depends on how many hours at work I'm getting. This year my job I barely got  20hrs a week.

100% not getting 24. I only watch college football anyways. I‘ve always enjoyed MUT for the team building with all the Legends and stuff but after 23 there is zero chance of me jumping into the next one.

I will stay on it. I dont know  why ppls flame madden for overalls , bugs etc. and keep buys it per year. Lol.

Yes. I never buy back-to-back sports titles unless it's heavily discounted.

I'm staying on 23 idc what anybody says about 23 not being a good year, 24 won't be any better. Might as well save the time and money and keep balling out with Julius Peppers, and not worry about grinding for basically the same exact cards I just grinded and sniped for.
