When did these loot boxes start? I know CoD had dlc you had to pay for but it seems like most online games now are adding all of this new currency
If you are mad enough to fight back, here are some options:
1. Look on the website or press reports for names & contact info for execs of company and send a personal note.
2. Contact Attorney General for your state and state of EA HQ.
3. Contact Comptroller for your state and state of EA HQ.
4. Contact the Senators for your state.
5. File a complaint for the chapter of BBB where EA is headquartered.

My earliest recollection wouldn’t be entirely virtual. Wow had a trading card game where you’d buy packs in hopes of a mount, consumable, or pet scratch off for in game use. They were obviously physically tradeable but also the items were sellable in the auction house in game. 2005-2006 ish
otherwise Roblox, fifa, Mut, NBA2, nhletc. have had this for 5+ years. EA also had the dragon age and mass effect multiplayer modes laced with this shit.
Reason: Grammar

I feel like it has become a problem and nothing gets done about it. Growing up, you paid for the game and that was it. You played it until the new one came out. Most games today seem unfinished and $70 isn't buying you the game anymore since you have to spend money on other things to actually enjoy the game. I got back into CoD this year and they have a battle pass. Wtf is that about? You used to grind CoD and unlock everything, now you have to get a battle pass for extra stuff? It ruins the experience for me

Auditing in general involves the same processes, regardless venue. In their form email replies, they reference auditing and/or in review of audit findings. It is disingenuous at best, for those references and no actual provisioning of a report or providing a person to contact.
To be fair lootbox, virtual currency, online marketplaces and predatory practices have been hot button topics in recent years with the video game sector. This extends to gamification of trading as well.
Sounds good...best of luck going forward.
