I just want yall to be prepared. I’d be incredibly surprised if there is an AH next year. Writings on the wall.

I agree and if it does, i can finally drop this game forever
Auction house is 100% my line in the sand it goes I go. I buy expensive packs when I really want a card got Bijan Mustard that way but I can’t imagine if everyone I wanted a card I had to directly pay for it. Most of my best cards Bland, Sanders, OOP Gilmore, and 93 Faulk my entire line built by building sets for Team Diamonds only possible with the help of the block and sniping. I will buy for a chance at the things I really want abysmal hit rate though btw but I wont buy an entire team.
JuicyJ8787 said:I the only issue I have with most of your responses is that the “free” cards you’re referring to usually take more hours to earn than the avg person has a week to play. You’re spending money or making MUT a second job. You play an awful lot so have all those “free” cards. Just take one second to step back and imagine a grown man with other responsibilities outside of MUT who can only play 2hrs a day. Should they just not even purchase the game?
Also, the free cards should ALWAYS be champion fantasy packs. Not a set player. Anything else is insulting to my valuable time.
Juicy, you are 10000% correct! Feel exactly the same
blamppp said:I can't lie that's gonna be a tough one there champ, I'm definately not just buying cards str8 from a catalog, I sat down nba2k because of that sounded like what it "MIGHT" be like w/ no auction house, didn't even purchase the game.
I don't really have no issue w/ going no money spent w/ madden, infact Im pretty sure that's where i'm at now w/ it, I don't really see buying any more packs because it's not really working, the team doesn't really do sh*t when you have the god squad in my opinion.
I mean....if the team doesn't do anything better with higher end cards, why does every successful MCS pro have top end cards? Your argument holds no water.
Just because you don't want to spend money on the game and are willing to grind, doesn;t mean you have ANY more right than someone who can't play the game as often and "grind" like you do to get the cards they want.
Honestly that's just an asinine and unrealisitc opinion. This isn't the Olympics where you have to pay your dues and dedicate your time to it. Everyone paid just as much for the game as you did, they have every right to get whatever cards they are able to either by grinding or spending money.
I work 60 hours a week and have a family. I can't be putzing around spending hours a day on Madden anymore. But I can certainly buy packs and bundles and right now I have something like 10 cards sitting at 94 OVR, 2 or 3 at 95, 90% of the rest at 93 and a couple at 92. You have your way of getting the team you want and I have mine. I work hard for my disposable income and I can't be grinding video games anymore. You seem to think because you grind you are more entitled. That's just not the case dude.
Your words are coming off like the typical NMS hater of people who are spenders and we did away a long time ago with that sort of opinion around here.

There will be an AH next year because the losses for EA would be too great if there weren't. Simple economics for them. They need a way for big spenders to get top end cards and then sell them to other people who will in turn want to try to get those top end cards in the future, enticing them to spend $. Plus the loss of customers (revenue) if they do away with the AH will not be acceptable to EA's board of directors

honestly man, I'm not going to be replying too much more on these forums because people just take it in all different directions that don't even make any sense.
how do I sound like a typical NMS player when I said a million times over I spent money and had 9 millin coins? what are you even talking about? people just vent frustration of they own through debate on here and don't even know what they are talking about at all, just ranting & babbling and claiming everybody else is wrong.
i'd be more than happy for you to "DO AWAY" with me on here. I could give a f*ck less tbh.
there is nothing of value on this forum to me, the website is great and has alot of valueable madden info, but debating here makes no sense anytime you do it, just a bunch of angry people mad they don't get there way in madden.
you see it in live action all the time the streamers who get big hits all the sudden forget about all the problems, and the ones who don't are super mad and ranting about pack odds. it's about as lame as it gets.
lol @ someone who has time to grind the game doesn't deserve more, I'm sure that applies almost NOWHERE. how do you even fix your fingers up to type such nonsense.

Because it's a VIDEO GAME that people spend money on man, Do you not understand this? This is not something you work hard to earn. This is not work or life goals or anything. Seriously, what is it about this that you don't get? It's a PRODUCT ... a luxury item dude. No one said anything about doing away with anyone , this was about the auction house.
I find it pretty ironic and hypocritical that you say there's nothing of value on this forum yet you keep trolling people with these posts. If there's nothing for you here, so be it. Whatever dude. Not to sound rude, but no one cares. It's your time. Spend it how you like.

it's a video game so it should be capped at how much you can play it?
you only include yourself in the situation, what about the streamers who play it daily? and make content etc? which are a major portion of play & promotion for the game? everything should be capped for people who don't have time? do you know how ridiculous that is?
you literally said in the post above about they got rid of people around here for talking like I talk, you aren't even coherent enough to debate with.

I don’t play my team anymore but I saw that change.
Would this be positive or negative?
They would NEVER Ax the auction house
Its how EA gets most of their coins back
They not only charge a 10% transaction fee, making auctions overpriced
But they have Bots sniping all the good cards, so you have to overpay

Higher end cards to not play well in Champions mode, due to DDA
But they likely play well in MCS when EA has to turn off DDA

The losses from losing the AH wouldn’t even be comparable to the losses they’d take if legislation continues tightening up, and eventually forcing them to do this anyways. The government is finally catching up to the preditorial strategies of these companies. Now the companies are trying to adjust. If they find a loophole, possibly still will have AH, but I wouldnt bank on it.

So you don’t play 2k right?
EA would still have all the coin sinks, even with no AH. Imagine buying a card from the catalog for 300k, but then only getting 120k back from selling it. And having a 60% loss on every purchase you make. Sound insane? Yea it’s already happening in other games that were similar to MUT.

2k what?
I play Madden 24 and EA UFC, then watch Trump rallies in my left over time

What EA does wouldn't be legislated out the way legislation is going. I actually personally know a Judge who was appointed by a recent U.S. President who still plays Madden lol.
The legislation actually goes more to selling packs for money than it does for AH activity; it can look at virtual currency acquired by monetary currency a intellectual property , like art (like a painting for example)....and it also ties in with gaming laws (which is why EA had to list pack odds)
But I highly doubt that any legislation would affect or regulate the Auction house in that way
