Good luck, but you're probably screwed if you really did that.
Despite being banned from accessing the auction house, i've still managed to sell more (two) cards this weekend. This is what i logged into this afternoon and is rather indicative of how my auction house efforts have been approached. You can still see my "max sale" listed on this price list: https://www.mut.gg/players/12847-alex-armah-jr/24-10112847/#prices
I purchased three Armah Jr. Gold cards; 4900, 5050 & 5600 coins... then the first sold for 49,969. Companion app has max price listed as 50k, but still yields ~10x gainz. Rinse, repeat. If you choose this method, PLEASE be careful, as it appears to have gotten me banned. I fail to see how this breaks the Terms of Service. This is very much in the spirit of EA Sports & Madden Ultimate Team, monopolize the market, jack up rates to ridiculously unfair pricing. . . win. It's bad when i do it, but if yer a billion dollar company with an exclusive NFL license, you laugh all the way to the bank.
This is extremely unfortunate.
It was the golds. I never sell for over 20k no matter what it says is max.

Oh word, I have just been setting max price auctions for 24 hours and then I go to bed. It's crazy how many of these actually sell. Sure I have to relist a ton, but it's often enough to be sufficiently profitable that I got banned less than two months into the game. Oof.
Weekend market crash due to the special pack release (x11 whatever, I don't buy packs) has crashed the market and flooded 85-86 Core Elites, which go great in GG sets, so it messed everything. I also built and sold numerous 89 OVR GG sets, but was all really vanilla, small profits from doing sets. I think you are almost certainly correct, I sold another gold for 99k. Grr, so bogus. I didn't pick those limits, what the hell.
Yeah if your selling golds for 99k that's a major red flag on EA's ban hammer.

Here's the actual / official message. I was setting whatever the listed "max price" is for gold cards, it's ridiculous how many of those actually sold. I simply mirrored what EA is already doing to the customer base, i didn't feel good about it, but better than pumping cash into packs of virtual playing cards that'll be outdated by next week... i've been doing this since `23, but was wildly successful as soon as 49ers theme team became fashionable, due to Run CMC release.

You didn’t get banned for using the app. Theres nothing wrong with buying/selling on the app. Sounds like you got banned for selling those gold cards for the max - EA’s bot system picks up on it when cards sell for well over the median price. For example: if a 49ers 71 OVR LG has been selling at 31k on average and you sell one for 88k, the bot thinks you’re selling coins, as that transaction is well above the median price. Sometimes takes a couple days but that’s how 90% of bans happen. You’ll see more of this during team diamonds when team specific gold cards are in high demand.
Yeah that’s unfortunate but not from the app. Now that you explained everything it is definitely for selling all those low golds for so much. In that picture you posted yours sold for 35k more than the next highest one. That’s a huge difference. I get it was great for profit but I’ve seen too many people get banned for this so I never lost a card for the max. It’s just a bad idea with EAs bots. They are very touchy and the ban comes automatic

Thank you both for the detailed explanation. I wouldn't have posted such a misleading and sensational title had I known all of this.
Guess I should have known better, but I spent liek nearly two months collecting low overall Gold cards from decent positions & theme teams that I assumed might be in high demand, although Seahawks & Commanders both caught me by surprise, was mostly focused on my beloved 49ers, as I can actually use those on my squad. This is now my second MUT cycle, didn't even manage to last a full year before I got removed/restricted, what a bullshit "market" -- I fully get that EA wants to control their economy, but I haven't gifted or done anything remotely close to what is defined in their terms of service. Oh well, hopefully Elden Ring expansion is good, maybe I'll go replay that. Wish there were another NFL game, I really get into the team building shit, which is expensive and 115k for Legends pack gets me liek MAYBE an 82 or something terrible. I never buy that awful shit, my team was 100% built through Solo grind and working auction house so I can attempt to field a competitive online H2H experience.
Thank you to everyone who has helped educate me around here. This community has fueled my enjoyment of this otherwise buggy ass let-down of what I had hoped would be fatball simulation on modern generation consoles. It's helped me bond with my step-son, but seems I'm taking things a bit too seriously if I'm grinding AH this hard. Fuck EA, but all of you please keep on rockin and rollin. Be kind to one another.
If any mods could please strike the "Companion App" portion from my post, that would be appreciated. I'm sorry that was seriously misleading due to my sheer ignorance. Be safe, be nice, be fun.

Correct, that's exactly how I sold my coins. They also use random players too, though.
You're right it's probably for the best. MUT is in a really bad place now unless you're willing to spend way too much.

They said they're going to strip my account of ALL coins, heh. Was hoping to have this overturned, as i definitely have not been buying or selling coins. I had a moment of weakness, seeing that new 11+ pack promo at steep (75%) discount, i was actually going to drop twenty-five bucks on the game. Thankfully my CVV or something wasn't properly saved in my Playstation account, so i dodged a bullet.
Oh well. I obviously wasn't going to be able to scale this shit back on my own, it's a ridiculous addiction -- i just really love the 49ers, despite my strained relationship with anything and everything NFL. EA & Madden / MUT is the icing on the shit sandwich. Ahh well, it's been a fun ~10 months or so, be safe out there folks.
They said they were going to remove all my coins also, but they haven't.
BeefBalls said:They said they were going to remove all my coins also, but they haven't.
You still playing? How long ago were you caught up in this nonsense? I pulled my full Ban History and noticed there's also a "Sanction" listed from September 4th, but this is the first i'm hearing of it. No clue what that might have been for. I've been doing this for at least a month... but didn't get so ridiculously successful/profitable until Run CMC dropped and 49ers theme team came into fashion, so my Golds were all of a sudden extremely valuable.
It's pointless to sit on 4M coins if i can't even use the auction house. Packs are horrendous, 115k coins for random pack trash sounds horrible. No wonder folks have to pump hundreds upon hundreds of dollars per week into this casino. I doubt i'll keep playing without access to the auction house. The team building aspects are the entire point of why i started playing MUT. Ahh well. We're all damn fools for hanging around here and paying for the "privilege" to have EA bend us over, again and again and again. This is way worse than the crack epidemic that the nation was dealing with during my otherwise misspent youth. Thanks for chiming in, dude -- sorry you got executed, as well.
Currently I'm still playing, but just because I was invested in Season 1. I don't know that I'll get invested in Season 2 if I can't access the AH either. I like the team building and working the auction house better than the game most of the time.
I was permanently banned from all maddens . I didn't even fight it but I was pissed. The next day I was unbanned. I just think this new bot police is kinda dumb. Kinda like real cops. If you are innocent you will be unbanned my friend.

I'd really rather not be forced to work the auction house, but it hasn't been terribly difficult to earn coins and shit is so damn expensive -- i'm not really in a position to be dropping fifty bucks on 1-2 new cards each and every weekend, oof. Although i guess my coin making efforts are what landed me in this situation in the first place. I'd absolutely LOVE to check out that new Vernon Davis AKA, but no real way to acquire him at this point.
I guess there's the 78k AKA packs, but paying nearly eighty thousand coins for a ~15k card (82 OVR AKA going rates) feels absolutely ridiculous. For what, liek a 6% chance to MAYBE get the card i want? This is why we're forced to head to the auction house, their pack offers are absolute garbage trash. I'd consider buying the Legends ones if they actually came with tokens, but NOPE. No rest for the wicked, or so it seems.
I continue to attempt to rework my thinking here, if i force myself to twist things around, I will someday hopefully be able to view this as a small victory, EA has done be a favor, pushing me to go check out other games, but the timing absolutely sucks. I'm still fired up about the NFL season. It's been liek three days now, still no response from the EA Terms of Service team, trying to get a human being to review my account status. I definitely did not purchase coins, or involve myself in anything even remotely related to coin distribution. I got greedy working the auction house, but i used the max limits that EA specifically set, i didn't choose those values. Yet i still get banned. F off, EA.
