Best budget ball hawking Safety

Im using Nubin but hes not doing the job anymore.Any reccommendations?

You didn't specify if you play primarily Man or Zone, but let's assume at the very least you're running Cover 2 Man (and not straight up Cover 0)... which means, i'm going to prioritize not only Speed, but also the other usual suspects, namely; height and ZCV.  Do you have any specific theme team preferences?

Normally i would consider "budget" to be somewhere in or around the ~100k range, but there's some very good Safeties if you can potentially double that budget.  Also any X-factors may also influence your decision here.  Jessie Bates might be the first Safety currently in game that is better than the Ed Reed Ranked reward, he's that good.  If you have the free Gridiron Guardians Kyle Hamilton, his 6'4" height is unmatched.

IMO, in order to get the absolute most out of Nubin, you'd need to boost his ZCV stat by +2 (to reach the minimum 90 ZCV threshold).  Beyond that, Nubin modification, anything else is going to be more than a mere budget beast.  In order, from best to worst, here's my S-tier Safety recommendations:

1. Jessie Bates * (my starting FS)
2. Ed Reed
3. Pat Tillman
4. Kerby Joseph
5. Kam Chancellor * (this is who i'm using at SS)

And then all the other Safety options to consider

• Kamren Kinchens
• Xavier McKinney
• Amani Hooker
• Brian Branch
• Brian Dawkins

I agree with the statements above for a week or so.... There is no doubt EA will have a promo like All Madden and release a better FS within 1 to 2 weeks of us getting the free Israel. Who knows, maybe we will get a FS Legend this weekend. LOL. Are you running a theme team? Regardless, the free one is the right price and will be needed to get the free MCS Champion later in the year.

I've played against Bates and i've noticed he's been making plays against me.  he should be your first option.

how is dawkins not at the top of the list? he has short stride too and when maxed for free at 91 hes a beast. take a peak

Too short, only 6+ feet, but yes he's quite good. I just happen to be using Vanden Bosch. And we're about to get that elite Cowgrrls MCS freebie.

I will at least fully upgrade him and try once more now that we're at max 91. Still too short, ideally 6'4" is start we're looking for, at or near.

I disagree. Even maxed out he is the worst card in MUT this year. Gets beat in coverage all the time, sorry.

Tillman is a must have. don’t let the 5’11“ stop you. dude plays big and has got many contested picks for me against the likes of brian thomas, randy moss and dk metcalf.
