I have an awful lot of thoughts about this and trying to decide what direction to go with my own secondary. I have a plethora of ridiculously good Safeties (Ryan Clark, Larry Wilson, Ryan Neal, Jack Tatum, Harold Carmichael, maybe even Reinfeldt, although i've never used him)... but i'm constantly shuffling things around. Most of this past week I'd be running Ryan Clark as my Nickel (Slot) corner, with Charvarius Ward and Darrelle Revis on the outside.
However, i managed to get an unnumbered Khyree Jackson Exclusive Friday morning and i have a ton of mixed emotions about his lack of tackling ability. However, Reinforcement is SUPER important to try and give ourselves a chance against all the Vanguard madness happening right now. I grabbed Mark Bavaro from the S7 99 BND Golden Ticket set this morning, so I'm trying to figure out the best roster adjustments to get as many of these on the field as feasible.
However, if you can't tackle, you probably don't play defense on my team. Going to have to make an exception to that rule for Khyree, he and Bavaro i think are becoming my Slot corners. Paying 2AP for Secure Tackler on Bavaro. I've been using Sherman & Chris Harris Jr. for months and months, they've both been absolutely fantastic.

I like Revis, NTL, Ward, Season 7 Riq, and Sherman. with NTL and Ward as my slots.
I’m running Khyree and Bavaro outside with Revis and Ward at slots, primarily running a Quarter defense
I have Sherman, Revis, and Deion. Revis is solid. Sherman is by far best CB I’ve used this year

Who you got in slot bro?
I have Sherman and Woolen on the outside and Vincent in the Slot on my Dolphine TT. I agree with others. Sherman is one of the best CB cards I have ever used outside Sanders a couple of years back.

Solid set up bruh.

I have the exact same players, but inverse setup. You prefer having the Reinforcement corners on the outside, eh? I just got Bavaro today and Khyree yesterday, so making some adjustments.
Prior to that I was bringing Ryan Clark (also with Reinforcement) down to play Slot.

Yeah, I wanted reinforcement and height outside, with quicks and UC to cover slot/TE.
I think it makes sense to keep reinforcers at slot, but I think the outside corners are more likely to engage a blocker, and I run Kelce at WR so figure others will have Vanguard out wide too. And if I can keep the outside corners on their feet then there should always be some degree of containment on stretch runs

Thank you for breaking down your logic here, makes total sense. I briefly considered trying to run Ryan Neal at outside corner. Nice to finally have Reinforcement DBs to give myself this option.
Appreciate your help and guidance here. 🫡

Right back to you bro, you’ve been one of the posters I’ve learned a lot about MUT from this year 🫡🫡

Bouncing ideas around with members of the community while we all play virtual GM is half the fun. EA certainly doesn't make it easy on us, we basically need to do homework to figure out what abilities even work, let alone are good... and then it gets complicated between last generation and current versions of the game, oof. I honestly feel terrible for the casuals who are trying to get into Madden/MUT for the first time. Which is exactly where I was a couple years ago, trying to get back into what i assumed was simulation fatball. I could not have been more wrong.
After liek a ~thousand hours i just feel that i'm starting to understand the game, although i'm wildly inconsistent with the gameplay. Or it could just be the actual game being wildly inconsistent. Or both things could be simultaneously true. =)
But seriously, appreciate you brain-storming that through for me. Much obliged.
