I use Terrell Davis and CMC, I did pick up Walker his 95 speed was intriguing .
sensicough said:I have to point this out. Everyone has their opinion and that is all this is. I too am a run first player and none of the 4 you mentioned are even in my top 3. I will agree on Perry at #4.
If I need 1 yard with only 1 try I go Perry out of Goal line. 100% success
Need 3-5 yards?…Okoye at HB behind Perry. 95% success
running out of Shotgun I use LT…but an argument can be made for 6’3” Dickerson. LT is also the best return man I’ve used this year..
Every down back is Dickerson. He is as agile as LT, surprisingly fast and slippery but also powerful and can just bulldoze over people. Seems to bounce off so many tackles. Hasn’t fumbled once for me personally.
Ive used CJ2K, 95 Lynch, Walker, Earl and Sweetness. None with much success except CJ2K before LT came out.
Much depends on scheme, playbook, lineman choices, abilities and play style to say who are best in the game for each player.
I think that’s fair, Dickerson is strong, just not as strong in my opinion as the others I mentioned. LT being efficient for you is an outlier to me, because he’s so easy to bring down. I love playing versus LT because my opponent never has a running game. I do believe in different styles though, and maybe you’ve figured out how to unlock him in yours! I have a power running style and I also run for 95% of my yardage and points so I know the backs I listed are great for that. I’d be interested to hear more about your style and play calls to work a back like that though!
SlowAndSteady said:I’m certain not a run first player. I think when I look at my profile I’m around 65% pass but I’ve been trying mix in more runs lately. I think it’s fine if you want to say these are your favorite RB’s but it doesn’t necessarily mean they will be the best 3-4 backs for everyone else.
I tried Marshawn Lynch and didn’t like him at all. I’m still using CJ2K and he moved much better and I like using Evasive more than Bruiser. Barry Sanders was really good for a while too, which I can’t imagine Walter Payton still being better than either of those guys.
FB Fridge is obviously the best back for short yardage situations, so that we can agree on.
Also, I’m assuming when you’re talking about your stats you are referring to playing Solo Battles? Nobody is averaging 230 yards rushing in H2H unless you have no idea how to play defense.
P.S. Thank you for ”bringing William Perry FB into glory last year”. Without you I don’t think anyone would have thought to make a GT out of the best 335lb FB in the game.
I will say that CJ2k is a great runner, he breaks a lot of tackles. I just find power running to be the best run-style for me and every back I mentioned is stronger for that, and they’re all better at continuously running as well. CJ2k needs to many breaks in my experience. I will stand by my top backs as being the best current power runners, and the most reliable in a truly run first scheme. However I will acknowledge that they could perhaps not be the best in other styles/schemes.
I am talking about All-Madden H2H, I have one of the strongest running games in MUT and frequently rush for over 200 yards and multiple TDs. I’ve always been a run-first player since I started playing Madden around 08, and so I always figure out how to run the ball well.
you are welcome, I don’t think he would’ve come into prominence without the 30k Yards bad 3000 TDs I put up with the 95
CJ2K with 1 AP Human Joystick is still the best HB in the game for me. I'm on old gen Xbox and I realize on current gen that HJS doesn't work well but on old gen it's great. Barry also gets it for 1 AP and is just a tad below CJ2K's card.
Okoye is the best power back in the game. Fridge is too slow but a great blocking lead.

What playbook do you run on offense and what are some of your favorite run plays? I really just run in the red zone but interested in trying something different.

for awhile I was running Denver‘s playbook, they have a few great stretch runs which I really like, one out of I-form Z close, and another out of singleback deuce close, and double wing.
the past month or so, I’ve been running the ravens playbook, their I-form wing power O is really strong, especially when flipped to the weak side. I also have been having a lot of success and fun with their pistol read option plays, although I recommend usually handing it to the RB, the FL read option plays a great, and any of the alignments where the fullback is next to the QB and the RB is behind.

you’re probably right on there, I don’t play old gen so I have no clue what is the best in that version. I feel like power runners struggled a lot on old gen Madden 22, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was the same in 23. I’m on current gen though so this list is applicable there.

I can understand you using TD as a Denver fan, and CMC if you’re pass first. I will say I feel like theyre both rather weak in a run first scheme vs the competition. however I didn’t put much time in with TD, so perhaps he’s stronger than I realize.
Reason: typo

TD has had a fumblong problems lately, I like cmc I love passing to him out of back field.
I think K9 and Demarco Murray should be added cuz when I play someone that is able to destroy me running and trowing it to their RB they are really the best.

they could be good receiving options no doubt, I just think the guys I listed are stronger in a power running scheme!

interesting to note, not a good problem to have. that’s definitely the way to use CMC!

yeah true and most people prefer power backs
