Only cuz of the OLine is a stretch. I don't think he's the GOAT but he woulda been an all time great anywhere. There's a reason Dallas always played like shit whenever he missed games despite his backups having that same line.
Hmm i cant think of a best player ever because how different every position is. i think it should be best player at every position ever

I should have worded that better, I dont hink hes the best RB, but I think what made him so good was the help he was getting by his OL. Still top 5 RB of all time, I just dont think hes the best player of all time

agreed, Barry Sanders or Walter Payton is the goat at RB
I might br a tad biased as I’m raised in New England and I’ve been a Pats fan my whole life, and I do agree it’s hard to compare across positions, but I gotta say Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. aka Tom Brady aka Tommy is the GOAT.
When Barry Sanders was playing I saw they interviewed him and his father. They asked him who the greatest running back of all time was. He said” no offense to my son, but Jim Brown was the greatest player to ever play the game”.
pat mcafee. not even up for debate
Brady THE GOAT!.........GO BLUE!
If you said hockey, I think most would say Wayne Gretsky or Gordy Howe. If you said Basketball most will say Jordan and the younger generation will say Lebron. However, in the NFL it is much harder to measure players who play various roles/positions against each other and say which one is the greatest. I think Montana, Sanders/Payton, Rice and many other players could all have their case made. I also think you have to take into account the era the player played much like baseball. It's really hard to compare a Griffey to a Mantle given how much technology and the rules have changed. Saying Brady is the greatest knowing he played in a time when you can't touch a QB or a WR, probably isn't a fair comparison to a Montana who played during a time you could kill a QB w/o getting flagged. To me for both of these sports you sort of have to say who is the best of a decade.
Just for the record I am a Cowboy/Dolphin fan, so speaking highly of Montana pains me since he beat my favorite player, of all time Dan the Man, in his only Superbowl appearance.
It’s not even a debate... it’s Tom Brady. I hate him but still
Brady is the goat, not even close

All good and reasonable. My GOAT runningback is Walter Payton. He was incredible all around while also being a great athlete
