I prefer to run Man to Man archetypesin my scheme which is a lot of press Man. Some Zone CBs play well in it anyway, lIke Haynes..
Who would your top 4 or 5 Man press CBs be in Madden 23?
Right now I'm running Blitz NTL, AM3 Revis, AKA Slay, AM Haynes, Harvest Woolen and sometimes AM3 Woodson

the best 4 corners for it are Revis slay woolen and surtain Haynes Patrick pet are all interchangeable at the 4
Also suggest running the man to man strategy card give more man coverage and press and allowes Revis to have 98 press at this point in the game which is broken

I see a lot of people talking (writing actually lol) about Surtain. Last year his card just never animated; so manny passes just went right over his head...I found it funny that I watched a video last yr and again this yr of GutFoxx gameplay and the same exact thing happened to him....does Surtain animate for you guys?? How has he played? I have stayed away from his because last year it really frustrated me
Also , what do u think about NTL? He wasn't on your list.... I think he's better than Pat Pete, especially against the run as well..93 Hit power, 75 IBL (Pat Pete has 55) 81 BSH (Pat Pete 48)......As an overall CB with press/man I think he's actually the best in the game when you factor in how he plays against the run also..Plus, Legends TT , big hitter and strips ball. Pat Pete has the same abilities basically, 2 AP acro, 0 AP Pick Artist

You don't put NTL in that category? 95 speed on Legends TT, without the strat card, 94 man, 92 press, 95 jumping 75 strength on a CB...etc?

I did that same sort :) ...Still, sometimes there are more factors than just the press , etc...traits, sometimes a card plays above or below the attributes, but I agree about NTL

So Surtain is actually a good card. I torched him a few times and he caught up and picked it. Was surprised.
Also, NTL is solid overall in every category, but doesn’t excel in man press like the others

Its at least the best place to start. Personally, I like NTL, Slay, and Revis best right now. And all of them are clutch and plays aggresive. and Revis is the only non high motor one

Not sure where I'd play him....probably not in my top 3 but I will give him a shot and see. In Dime or Dollar I will get him on the field

I do...man, I have found traits to be a really good determining factor. i was listening to Problem Wright who over the past 2 decades is probably the most recognizable and possibly most successful Madden Pro ever....I mean, now he doesn't play competitively the way he used to but he's a Legend. he was also talking about traits and how important the Pro players think they are. I do firmly believe that many of them matter big time and give us insight into the coding of the card...I mean you can't see these traits on the card in your binder ...they don't appear like the attributes do....there's gotta be a reason for that...they only release the traits to the websites that cover Madden

They do gove us descriptions, maybe they aren't entirely accurate, but they actually have descriptions of each trait , somewhere here or reddit or even on EAs site...as well as each attribute....what attribute counters what (what counters PMV, BSH, etc) how release vs press and how the rng (dice roll) leans based on the comparison of various attributes.
We know that clutch on a QB boosts the Oline (PBK and RBK, IBL, etc), as well as passing accuracy, and other attributes for example.
I've thrown hit sticks with a lot of DBs that don't result in fumbles but yesterday I threw one with Darren Wooodson (Big hitter trait) on Saquon who has brace for medium hitters and 91 carrying, and the ball popped out. That's traits at work
