I think it depends on your scheme. If you are trying to run to the outside, pass to RB, swing passes, pretty much anything where you want to get to the edge, it’s definitely Dri Archer. It’s not just his speed to get to the edge that’s great, but how tight he can turn the corner when he gets there and get upfield.
If you are running inside you probably want a back who will break tackles and fall forward a lot. Okoye is a good choice here. And you won’t need to spend AP for either of these two backs to get them to do what they do well.
There are a couple of backs I haven’t tried. I‘m not going to spend a million coins on any one player.
In general, if running inside look for big heavy backs, they will run through people or fall forward for a yard or two. If running outside look for speed, agility, change of direction.
Dri Archer does everything I need him to, but I want to try Ricky. Gets plus 1 to all his stats with the strategy card. And 1 ap rbap.
Gurley on a 25 or greater TT. I’ve used every other great back in MUT, and 97 OVR Gurley (with TT boosts) is currently best
FloorGeneral said:94 Barry is crazy. If you don't shove all your AP into QB, run Freight Train CE as your X, then JukeBox or Human Joystick for 1ap, and First One's Free for 2ap. It's the best ability stack for a RB in the game. Plus he's got good receiving ratings as well.
I have not played with the Henry yet (refuse to pay that much for a card), and I typically prefer bigger RBs like that, but this year, the shiftier guys seem to be the way to go, and Barry is a maniac right now.
Seconding this -- but I have gotten enough cover athletes to get the second added acceleration. I run the Freight Train CE as xfactor and First One's Free for 2ap, rest is on QB and 1 for lynchpin (I know the trouble with it and turbo, but like running it, but would be first AP I'd sacrifice). A lot of fun running, a lot of missed tackles, great versatility, and just really, really slippery. Fun to play.

These guys know what they're talking about. Barry is the truth.
I like a little shiftiness in my backs so I traded my ZC Henry for Barry and haven’t looked back my best in game the only two mentioned Ive never got the chance to play with are the OOP Vick and Gurley so I can’t weigh in there.
For some reason i really and only like bija
Angry runs Patterson is a do it all at a great price

Derrick Henry, i'm not sure it's even up for debate, is it? That X-factor is nasty and makes it pretty simple to just put yer head down and run straight forward... who cares you don't get a sweet juke move.
Personally, i want that CMC, but it was an elusive LTD, that i wasn't able to acquire. That being said, i'm still using Dri Archer, the only other "decent" HB i have is the 93 (not the truly good one) Barry Sanders Cover Athlete. At least i can get his X-factor going with six, 1-yard runs, but still not even close, Dri Archer seems vastly superior.

Wait, wait, wait -- Dri Archer is over rated? Dude is a budget beast, IMO. How can a halfback with top end speed at bargain prices be considered OVERrated? I continue to use him, massive upgrade from both Keaton Mitchell and that Etienne, used both prior to building Dri.
But yes, absolutely plan on trying to convert to Taylor, unless i feel gimped going from 96 down to 94 SPD (running 25 ZC & 25 49ers TT). To be determined.

For me, hit stick him twice and he fumbles. He's the only player that jukes better without juke box, which is super weird. I had 50/50 ZC TT, so he is 97 speed and is getting run down by literally everyone. I'm convinced at this point speed is overrated because if a defender has 80+ pursuit he will hawk you. So I sold while I could and will switch to Taylor. I also hear angry runs patterson is super nice

Appreciate you detailing your experience. I definitely find myself furiously flipping between packages in the menu quickly between plays, trying to regain stamina for Archer. Oof. Then again, some of my receivers don't do much better... and I feel liek I've got a decent crew; Randy, Tyreek & Jordan Addison... wish I had Deion.
I've been super lucky avoiding fumbles with Dri, only one major I can think of, perhaps a couple sideline ones as well that I didn't count... so a few, but hasn't seemed excessive. Tyreek coughed one up after he got hit sticked on a crossing route in the red zone last night, that one cost me big.
I used Bijan for a bit, but never had Patterson. I wish, heard he's incredible, especially as a route runner. I'm still infatuated with his `23 The Flash AKA, with Phenom ability.
How's Campus Heroes TT, or what you running post ZC?

I'm still 50/50 ZC, but I've been running cheesy bunch offset, double post, verticals, gun bunch str y trail. Just hurry up, quick snap, checkdown repeat. Kill em with papercuts.
I might switch to eagles TT soon with captains get 2x chem, that way I can use 10-15 players of my choice and not be handicapped to 3-4 subs. ZC you really get stuck at 51/50 so your only subs can be slot WR, 3rd down RB, slot corner, and one guy from any other position. not that it's really necessary because ZC has so many 93s, but with team building being the most fun part of the game this year playing with 1 endgame set of players gets boring fast. I think I played 7-8 games all of last weekend and haven't picked it up since.
