Best ways to slow down or stop a RPO spammer?

Played a guy that tried to spam a RPO. I ended up winning and shutting him out but it was frustrating. I would put my DE in a hard flat to the side he was throwing his rpo and it worked pretty good and made him drop the ball a few times. I was thinking about putting my flats on 0 and using a coverage where there's only a flat defender on the side his rpo was but that seemed risky. I also ran mcv and it helped also. I just didnt know if there was a universal method to slowing down all these RPO's or what the best method was?

turn on match D and run cover 2 and press will stop those quick throws very quickly

Depends on the RPO. A good way is cover 2 with press but most RPOs have a different way of stopping.
