Blitz Thoughts

The promo was revealed today on GMM (check Slammer‘s thread for stats/pics) and we got Mike Vick, NTL, Montez Sweat, Steve Smith as Champions and Waddle and Barr as LTDs (though Waddle does have BND logo….)

I don’t think this promo has the “WOW” aspect as previous blitz promos. This is probably because there are so many players, not just a few that everyone will be going after. 
 

I do feel like the promo could’ve been better with like 2 huge names as champions. We haven’t seen everything (offers) yet, but as of now this promo feels kind of mid. Thoughts?

Looks very mid.

For the logo its probably from his MCS card that has it, so thats probably just a QA miss. 

I mean, there was a lot of decent players but not that many crazy ones. Barr 87 was OP at coverage and Blitzing liek the old days so I would like to see him again. Waddle was okay when I used him. 

Sweat should be a Taylor clone. Vick, as long as hes not grease hands, should be really good with the 2nd best release but his abilities arent that good (fastbreak and fearless are the only 2 good ones). NTL will reign again, really wish that blockshed and hit power mattered like the old days. And Steve Smith is meh, basically the same as Waddle. 

I think depending on how it rolls out/offers are, could be a decent program overall. But nothing crazy. I dont like that were already recycling legends 3/4 points higher... Thats not good. No OOP players is kinda weird too. Was hoping for a Bo card but maybe theyll do his normal ZC release. I did like his Blitz card last year, it would be an upgraded Patterson this year.

They definitely released more player than i thought they would.

Cheap speed budget players for the new players which is nice. NTL will be a terror to go up against. It's an okay promo at best really.

But are these players really $100s of dollars better than what we already have? Agreed on the recycled players, need some new guys, and also needed some bigger names. Imo they should’ve saved Primetime for Blitz

The things that's so shocking to me is that it's not much of a BLITZ. Like the offers are staying up for like 4 days. The shortest being the 2x 93 ovr fantasy hero pack which is only up for an hour. Do you suppose that will be any 93 ovr card? Or a hero from a specific program or what?

Probably from any promo. Would be wild

No. No players are worth that much IRL money :P

Elways going to be the best QB unless we get a crazy ZC one. 
A lot of Harvest masters/AKA/TOTW are top tier currently. Its mostly side grades or slight upgrades for most people. 

Im fine with the low guys getting upgrades for TTs but like Legends shouldnt be recycled THIS fast and Id like to see more new players. SSS was nice to see and Vick is cool... But like you already have Elway, Mcnair, RG3, etc.

Yeah just not like this extended out. If it was more urgent you could get more money from people but its all super mid stuff. This year has been kind of a let down overall since its mostly just copy/paste to the next thing. 

I would assume the 93 Hero Fantasy is probably Harvest and maybe like TOTW or something. Those are the only ones we have at 93 currently.

Very mid.  I lost interest when they had OJ Howard as a 93.  NTL looks great but that is about it.  If tall WR were not the meta than Smith and Waddle look amazing.  Im not Vick is all that special anymore with RG3, Fields, Lamar and Hurts also in the game. I sold off some key squad members so I have plenty of coins saved but it looks like EA saved me from the temptation of spending real money.

like wtf are half these players? not to mention any known ones are super mid. so are the cards.

maybe they're waiting for the 50% off player base to tempt them with packs. 
heck with the OG's that paid full price
