When you put it that way of course if they make the game as technical and obscure as to be only understood by a few dedicated players with a background in football scheme Madden would not appeal to people the way it does. They need to find a better balance of limiting the effectiveness of spamming unrealistic plays over and over and making the gameplay too difficult for the average player.
