Is there anyway these can be contained?Formation or zone drops flats?

It’s pretty annoying at times. There are a few things you can try.
If you put a linebacker at the end of the DL and set them to a flat zone with the flats at zero they will be right in the line of the pass and sometimes they will pick it if they have good awareness or user input to intercept.
Find a play that blitz’s the slot CB and user him to get the pick. Only bad thing is sometimes he gets tied up on a block.
Yesterday I was playing someone that kept doing this. He was at my 4 yd line going to score a TD and I went into 3-4 Bear Cover 3 and shaded underneath and inside with Charles Haley at ROLB and Haley intercepted it with ZERO hesitation and took it to the house.
You could try other formations with shading underneath/inside with the flats set to zero.

Yeah no problem, hopefully you find a way to defend it in your scheme. I saw it a lot around XMas and Demarcus Ware was so good at picking it off from the edge but I haven’t seen it too much until recently.
