Budget Beasts List!

With many of you selling your teams off for Zero Chill/Christmas market crash, and many not having enough coins to grab the expensive players, I figured that I would make a Budget Beasts List.   

Eric Stokes (CB) - Blitz - 90 OVR

Cost: 55k

Stokes has 93 speed, as well as decent coverage stats. He’ll be a beast on any team.  

Quez Watkins (WR) - Team Builders - 88 OVR 

Cost: 50k

Watkins has 88 DRR, 93 speed and acceleration. Even though he’s only an 88 OVR, he’s faster than many high-end DBs at this point in the game.

Travis Etienne (HB) - Harvest - 90 OVR

Cost: 55k

Etienne is arguably the best HB for under 100k in the game. He has 92 speed, and 1 AP Short In Elite if you want to send him out on receiving routes. You can get him basically free as a BND by putting him into a Harvest 93 set and selling the 93 on the Auction House!

Rudy Ford (FS) - TOTW - 90 OVR 

Cost: 55k

Ford has 92 speed, 90 MCV, and even 88 POW, on the higher end of safeties. The best part is he’s only 55k!

Daron Bland (CB) - TOTW - 91 OVR 

While you may not have looked at this card if you don’t run a Cowboys TT, I recommend that you do!

Cost: 80k

This Bland isn’t so bland. He comes in with a ridiculous 92 speed, 94 accel, 95 JMP, 90 ZCV, and 92 PRS. And that’s without strategy cards. Absolute beast!

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR) - TOTW - 91 OVR 

Cost: 75k 

The Lions stud comes in with 92 speed, and gets to a 90+ for all receiving stats with a strategy card. For those of you who don’t run a Hot Route Master QB yet, he also gets 1 AP Slot Apprentice, giving you some fantastic Hot Routes to improve your offense.

But….How budget are we talking here? Well, here are some great guys for \<30k!

Brandon Jones (CB) - Blitz - 89 OVR

Cost: 30k 

Jones comes in with 91 SPD, 89 ZCV, and an extremely high 92 POW, the second highest in the game. I recommend playing him at Slot CB on your team!  

Kenneth Walker (HB) - TOTW - 89 OVR Cost: 30k

The star rookie has 91 SPD, as well fantastic ball carrier stats. This card plays extremely well too.

Terry McLaurin (WR) - Harvest - 88 OVR Cost: 20k

McLaurin is like a budget option of Quez Watkins. He has 92 SPD (Watkins has 93), but better route running and after the catch skills. I would take a look at both and see which one you like more, or use both!

Mecole Hardman (WR) - TOTW - 87 OVR Cost: 15k

The world-renowned-Tyreek-Hill-esque speedster runs past the defense with his 91 SPD. The best part is that he’s just 15k!  

Fabian Moreau (CB) - Harvest - 88 OVR Cost: 20k

Don’t let Moreau’s OVR mislead you. For just under 20k, you can get a 91 SPD, 92 JMP, 88 ZCV corner. Moreauver (okay, that was bad), he  sticks with top-end receivers despite being several OVR less!

Are there any Budget Beasts that you know of that weren’t on this list?

90 Tristian Wirfs-60k (1 AP edge protector

90 Andrew Thomas-70k ( 1 AP edge protector)

these guys are top tier if you don’t have BNDs at these positions and are only 5-10k more than the most expensive players on the original list👍
(the rules for eitenne apply to Humphrey and wirfs as well. Complete as set with those 3 and you’re good to go)

I think I'm gonna try some sets once I play again for the BNDs, that way I get cheap/free upgrades. The Etienne tips sounds great

I've been hounded by Stokes, Etienne, and McLaurin since their releases. Great budget beasts

The new Allen Lazard is on Par with any other receiver considering his stature and that he gets the elite threshold rating on all routes
