Calculation of Team OVR

When calculating the Team's overall on Offense, Defense, and Total Team, does the game view a gold 99 and a blue 99 as the same thing?   When I look at my Offense every single starter is either a Gold 99 or a 98 that boosts to a 99 with Chems and Strategy cards, but it still says my Offensive OVR is 98.  My Punter is 96 OVR Drew Brees, because he is the highest-rated P that gets Legends Chem.  Is that card the issue?

Defense is also a 98OVR as well, and they are all Gold 99 or Blue 99, except MLB2, which is a 97, that chems up to a blue 98.   My Kicker is 95 OVR Matt Gay, because I don't want to spend $1.5M for Legatron, but will if that is what will get me to a 99 OVR.   I don't play much H2H, so my main objective is to get to a 99 OVR Team.

You need every single “starter“ on that respective side of the ball as a 99 in order for it to make your offense or defense a 99. This includes on offense, your WR3, and on defense your CB3, MLB2, and DT2. Any 98 or below in a starting depth chart position, will prevent you from 99 offense and/or defense on the menu Screen.

Blue and Gold 99 differences do not matter.

Thanks Busta!  Is there a list somewhere of all of the positions that count towards Starter, or are the misc. ones that you listed above the only ones besides the obvious 1st depth chart position.     How about Punter?   There isn't an option to get a 99 Punter is there??

Only way to get punter to a 99 and kicker are to have both the Scottish Hammer AND Legatron as your punter and kickers.

• HB1
• FB1
• WR 1, 2, and 3
• TE1
• LT1
• LG1
• C1
• RG1
• RT1

Defense:

• LE1
• RE1
• DT1 and 2
• LOLB1
• ROLB1

Thank you very much for the list!!   I appreciate you and all the Mods for the work that you all do on here.  Sounds like I need to lose the Legends Chem for P and buy the Hammer!!

I got Legatron for $1.25M.  It killed me to pay that for a Kicker, but that was $250K cheaper than I could find him yesterday, so I was able to buy Scottish Hammer with the savings.   These two, and making Ryan Shazier's UL set for MLB2 did the trick.  I am now 99OVR on Offense, Defense, and Overall.   This is my first time playing MUT, and this was my goal , so mission accomplished.   The rest of the year will just be upgrading the Blue 99's to gold 99's when appropriate.   I run a Legends Theme Team, but am a huge Chiefs fans, so hoping to see Derrick Johnson, Derrick Thomas, upgraded Willie Lanier, Ed Budde, etc. in the remaining UL's.

the only knock I have on the lineup builder is I want to see the overall ratings of a specific group like

linebackers group up

defensive backs group up 

d- lineman group

like muthead 

to get a sense of what is my weakest and strongest group on my team or teams
