Caleb card what do u think?

I hate the baked in ability closer.  I don't love his throwing motion....

What do you guys think?  Is the card anywhere near QB1?

I'll stick with Vick.

I thought so too....until I luckily pulled Caleb and decided to try him. I'm impressed with the card. Starting him over Vick, JJ, Stroud and Lawrence. At least until Jordan Love's breakout card drops.

Caleb is 100000% QB1. That said, we're going to get a Jordan Love and Will Levis in the next 10 days (one tomorrow and one next Thursday) that will widely be viewed as QB1. Why? They both have the Rodgers release, throwing stats should be top notch given they're 88/89 and I expect both to have speed in the 80-85 range. Not much more you can ask for at this stage. Given both have multiple ability buckets, I expect both will have gift wrapped which is an upgrade over Caleb and on par with Lawrence.

Yes, Caleb is probably near (top 3?) the best QBs available, however -- he doesn't get Gift Wrapped and as you so accurately pointed out, cannot remove the unremarkable Closer that's baked on, hate to waste the few AP we have available to us.

I am looking for any new QB with the following qualifications:

• Slinger 1 (better known as Three Quarters 3 this year, i guess) -- as this will be THE best release type for getting the ball out quickly, it excels on the short-mid passing game, which is what i'm looking for to evade the ever present Mid Blitz 0 (double A-gap) meta
• and Gift Wrapped

Those are my only two requirements.  Having some speed to dance around the pocket certainly cannot hurt, but that's more a luxury than requirement, IMO.

That Jordan Love card coming will probably be QB 1 once it drops
