chad johnson worth the buy?

Ok so I posted the same exact thing a day or two ago wondering the same question, I’m good on coin about 20 mil so i ended up buying him for 1,050,000 and moving around some pieces on my defense bcuz of the 6AP BS. So, I used his Universal Coverage and PA for 1/3rd of my entire defense (LoL) but anyways I played him at his position and moved Byard to my user and I have PWillis as my other in the box (9ers TT) and Pola up top for SS. I played some of BB quick H2H games and then some head to head and Champions in total about 15 games. he had about 15 tackles, a couple deflections and 2 picks. I didn’t see his Universal light up tho which was weird bcuz it’s supposed to be on all game and I went into Solo’s and it was light up, so idk about that bcuz it should be activated. Idk what schemes you run or if you would use him at his natural position, corner or user but I honestly do not think he is worth it. Byard plays great for me for 1/3rd the price and AP! Which is most important nowadays. So I ended up selling him for 1.4 mil tonight, made some decent profit actually ( 210k) and just gonna hold out till we get Free GT Julius Peppers in a week or so and move back Byard to FS. hope this helps!

It depends on what your FS does. If your zfS mostly just plays one type of zone converage the 2 ap universal coverage isn't being utilized enough to be worth it. If your fs plays multiple different coverage assignments I could see him being worth it. By the same logic of different coverage assignments, he's also worth it if you play him oop with multiple different coverage assignments.

I got him for 688k when he was in packs and plugged him in as my deep FS with universal coverage and PA for 2 AP.

All he’s done since then is make plays all over the field, he gets a ton of picks and always seems to be around the ball to make a knockout if he’s not in position to pick. He’s the best deep FS I’ve used all year and I was using Pola Mao there before who was also incredible. You can even put him as an outside corner if you want to shut down one receiver/side of the field. He plays great and 100% worth it for 1/3 of your AP

I think he plays well. Like CJ said, deep FS or outside corner is his best spots.
