Clay mathews

How good is he in game? I'm in the process of building all of the team diamonds to get JJ but I will be keeping Clay and peppers for my Packers team theme, theoretically. I'm at 48/50 now so obviously putting him on would make a full 50 team. I finished building it today finally getting the last piece I needed and overpaying for it, but then I'm looking at his abilities and there's nothing really exciting. Currently at that position I'm playing Ted Hendricks that I have fully upgraded it to the 91 plus the Packers chemistry and some good abilities. He seems to play really well. I did have Robinson as a backup.

For more background, I'm using old gen and I don't play very much if any H2H or champs. Mostly just have fun completing solos and then playing solo battle games every now and then house rules or an H2H game.. I'm just wondering if I'd be better off just getting him sold now using the coin to build the others or to get a better card that I might want. I have currently about 2.6 million coin and I'm at like 18 of the 32 diamonds done. If he's not going to make that big of an impact I want to know that. Of course late in the year I can always pick him up cheap when everything drops in price

Haven't tried him but I don't think he's that good. His low block shed means he's a liability in the run game. Without abilities, I don't think any edge rusher is a difference maker in the pass game

Since you said you don't play much h2h, it's really up to you. Would you enjoy using Matthews for months or the coins?

Good point on the block shed. I guess it might be better to just not usie now. I really like him as a player out of the game so that's kind of why I want to use them but I know that's not good enough reason. I would much rather get a card like the LTD jaire and have that in my lineup. I just guess outside linebackers rated between say 90 and 93 are probably all about the same. And and there's a couple other spots that I might be able to find a lower OVR packer to fill in as a backup to get me to 50..  what I was looking forward to was that X2. But now that I think about it it's only going to get me one extra cuz I would have to replace Hendrix or Robinson.

Matthews hasnt don’t bad for me. I don’t play h2h either nor do I user him because I don’t like usering people on the right side of the screen. I don’t have the 50/50 Packers I have nearly 40 and does fine for me. I think he’ll do good for you.

Clay will be x3 Packer chems. If you're running a Packers TT, he should be in your lineup no matter what (same with Christian Watson Division Dynasty x2).

As far as performance, he beasted for me last year, and this year is no different. I don't really notice the 78 block shed being a problem, but that is obviously the glaring weakness with this card. I play with he and Gary outside, and they both do well for me. I tend to stay away from H2H due to toxicity, but when doing House Rules he gets home plenty.

Good read..thx.  I had him up in AH for just a bit but took down now. So him at rolb 1 and Hendricks 2 ? Or flip?
