Nice to see the new promo being added, content, although frequent just feels dry this year. Wouldnt mind them adding in new promos with a twist, rather than the basic low set cards, hero and then champions. Would be nice if they had a mid-season position collection similar to previous maddens (25 was the best version) where you would need to add in the top 30 base cards of a position (maybe not every top card) and would receive the top performer at that position in the middle of the season.

That seems like it would cost a lot for one card, it would probably just be really similar to team diamonds.

Wouldnt have to be expensive, they would just need to balance out the cards that go in and the card that comes out. Team diamonds is expensive at first due to the demand of the base cards, this would be no different. Have 2 high cards, 4 mid cards and then fill it out with lower elites and high golds. Just looking at the value of cards now, that would be roughly 400k per set, with an increase in pack odds the value of base cards goes down and the value works.
