what defences/abilities can i run if my oppenent is spamming corner routes
Double mable, move your flats to 20-30 yards I prefer 25.
If you don't want to Mable, deep zone ko works bout half the time out of cover 3 and cover 4. You just gotta press so they don't get too deep if trailing an outside streak.
And don't go for the pick just let the computer knock it out, unless you want to get mossed alot.

KOs, KOs, KOs. We basically need to have two Deep Out Zone KOs on both of our outside corners to have any hope of contesting these corner routes. Typically folks will set their Flats to 30 yards (in coaching adjustments) and Curl Flats to 5 yards, then run something liek Cover 3 / Cover 4 and hope for the best. Obviously you'll need to see what your opponent(s) is/are doing, but typically i find 25-30 yard Flats work out best... at least as a starting point.
There are a few random plays that will allow receivers to get over 30 yard flats, but not many. I think someone else mentioned it already, but running Double Mable coverage is the standard way folks defend against the corner and sideline throws. This can be achieved from many formations/schemes, but the concepts remain vital.

Is 5 like press and 10+ is just as if they were giving cushion to keep everything in front of them ? with 30 being the farthest when lining up against WR?
Double mable for sure. Also depends on what defense you wanna run. I try to stay away from Meta so I play man a lot. If I run 335 I’ll pick a play where my 2 outside sub LBs are blitzing and i’ll put them into a 30 yard Curl Flat and press my corners. I’ll user the RB cover guy. Can do the same in Nickel, Big Nickel and Dime too if you want 4 lineman.
Worst case, send the heat non stop then back off. Good chance they’ll get happy feet and make a bad read.

no Your flats Can play any where you don’t have to press for them to be at 5 yards.

Something i'm confused about. When i put a hard flat at say 20, does it play the same as a cloud flat? I know clouds play corners but if i put a hard flat at 20-30, what do they do?

I’m not gonna lie I’ve only run clouds at 30. I haven’t tried to mess with anything I just watched a video or to in October about the defense.

But if i come out in cover 3 hard flat with 30, what do they do? Clouds will play corners at 30 but how about hard flats?

I’m assuming they play the corners aswell. I’m not sure though.
25 yard flats and hope Madden dosent let your corner get fooled anyways lol. Deep out ko,but it's expensive. Pacheco has it for two,but he's expensive as well lol. (And a safety,I don't think we have cbs with it discounted yet.)

Might be the best advice in the thread 😂
Definitely not the consensus in the community but I run man like95% of the time, only throwing zone in every once in a while, and shading your dbs outside and underneath with result in you intercepting the ball most of the time on corner routes. Unfortunately when you shade that way you can get cooked on inside breaking routes, so it’s a chess match. Also if you run man, predict “pass” before the play as to not get smoked by play action.
