What do you yall think? I know people say smaller DBs turn their hips better, but taller corners with pick artists seem to be broken. I'm trying to upgrade my DB unit and I’m thinking of dropping Carmichael for Tracy Porter or Jalen Mills.
they still do matter for sure but not as much. the only db whose height has been a significant problem for me is darious williams. cards like jason verrett have played great without having top tier height. so dropping carmichael for porter or mills isn't a bad idea at all
It still matters to a point but if your not putting pressure on the QB and forcing reads, then chances are that the taller DB's are going to get cooked on routes.

Been usering Williams and get a pick every game. Dude fly’s around the field on Jags theme team. Really easy to bait Qb too with that speed/quickness
Yes and no. Players in the MCS are still using Calvin and Carmichael at either CB or FS/SS, but then of course there's players like Verrett being used who are under 6 ft tall
Yeah, I'm thinking it is time to switch it up. I still run Peppers and Calvin at Safety since run mostly Zone and like the area of reach for knockouts. Thx

i still think tall safteys is the move. i think peppers and calvin/carmichael are so good. but at db i dont really notice it. going to try the new mills at saftey bc of the 2 ap deep out and mid zone, so gonna have to see if height really is still meta at safteys
I'd rather have height on guys that consistently play deep zones. If they're manned up or play closer to the LOS, I'd rather have shorter, more agile guys.
I have porter, honey badger, gardner johnson and Vonn Bell. With the right ko mix, size really isn't an issue. I do turn my adjustments to play receiver versus play ball
