I remember it as equalizer myself as well. This was in like 13 or 14. Im pretty sure some form of it IS and has always been in the game regardless of what anyone says.

all Madden has been unplayable for my this week if I don't use protected my oline gets shed immediately everytime, no way to get a pass off consistently, shade, double team, hot route an extra blocker doesn't matter, and all my oline are 92s with my LT being the only 91...
was getting crushed then put protected back on and had no issues running just stock blocking, told myself I'm never not using protected again on all Madden, it makes a huge difference IMO, if you're pass heavy....

also with how horrible blocking is in this game protected should be 0 ap or 1 ap max kinda like lurk/pic artist on D...

it makes sense when you think about it, they want people to keep playing so if you lose a couple it benefits you and gives you better chance of competing / winning

I’m up 14-3 , get the ball back and nsuddenly I was having the toughest time trying to get down the field and the player was on his D line the whole time but which was even more head scratching, is once I did manage to score I kick the ball to him and the player just stood there , he gets a delay of game on top of that because he had left momentarily then he started to play again so the CPU was balling out against me
so to me this was some strange stuff going on.
