Hines Ward is NOT FASTER than Jaire Alexander
FIX YOUR GAME
What I don't understand is, a lot of people who spend on this game say the very same thing that it has DDA or juices up weaker teams to equalize in some way. Then they turn around and spend on packs to have the latest cards anyways. People want gameplay issues fixed and then wallet out for the very reason EA doesn't have to work on gameplay issues.
Of note to the OP, I am not saying or implying you are spending or part of this group..just a related topic I feel is important.
The ratings in the game mean nothing at all. Maybe speed will show on the field but sometimes that's meaningless too.
But where is the balance
It used to be, I would get screwed one game, then get a lot of luck the next game
Thats not happening this year, Ill get like 5-6 games in a row with horrible gameplay
Like Ill lose to an 85, whos team plays like 99s
Then Ill get matched up against a team with WildMan, Sapp god squad and they'll smoke me
So I wont get the same treatment my opponents get if Im matched up against a higher overall
I will say I cant say too much because when I actually have a good connection I dont mind the game and a lot of my issues are from lag. Honest, 99 percent of the time I have input lag and still win quite a bit.
To your point, I played a guy multiple times back in Madden 24 and my team was as good as it gets with every ability (and the best abilities) you could want. My opponents team? No abilities. No knockouts. No one-steps. My opponent ran stock 2 man under and was bagging my WR's who all had route tech ability. Running drags, crossers, zig/whips, posts?? Bagged. Again, opponent had zero abilities. I wish I would have recorded it every time I matched agaisnt him. He and his super computer beat me once. I beat him every other time. It was always the same story....
No abilities and the best man coverage you could ever see.
Guy was not a good player either. It was just his super computer.
Lately, I have been fumbling a lot. Even spent on a new RB with a better carry. Still fumbling. Whatever they gotta do to balance the game. Ill dashboard that. I don't care. I know the opponent isn't good because he doesn't know how to cover what im running. But fumbles galore 😆. Whatever. Take the free win. Fumbles are fluke and should be eliminated from the game in my opinion. Unless it's a user strip.
Ill also say, played an opponent that ran i-form stretch all game in Madden 23...he is actually a well-knowm player back in the day. Long time ago. Like madden 95 or something. He is friends with a semi-popular Twitch streamer - Ragusa. Old man now. And I tried everything to shut his run down and i had a great team. Close to the best you can get. Couldn't stop his i-Form stretch. Joke. I even came out in goalline because it was so bad....couldn't stop it. Shifting, slanting. Overloading where he is running. Nothing worked.
EDIT: Dude who ran I-Form stretch all game...never passed....and I could not stop it no matter what?
I remember his name: RCisKing
He was good back in Madden 96. He found some glitch or something. He can't pass at all. Rely your on your computer to block for you. Super blocking. What a joke that game was. Goalline didn't even stop it. Total joke.
Madden controls too much of outcomes sometimes.

I had one of the luckiest opponents I've ever been against last night myself. Was pretty classic. He made tons of terrible throws that went straight to my guys who made these strange animations to avoid even trying, regardless of pressing ball hawk, swat etc. his WRs made insane catches. Then on offense my WRs didn't even try while his DBs made insane psychic jumps I've never seen before. I threw a couple picks that completely shocked me.
Those clowns celebrate the battle by taunting you and it only illustrates that they will still lose the war. Gloating and taunting is a rookie move and only makes themselves look bad. It shows how much one moment in one game means more to them than it should, when someone with a little more wisdom sees the long term - winning the war by focusing on planning their next moves, rather than taunting the opponent.

do you think it’s more likely that your players are treated different somehow (??) or that the scheme generally is the most important factor?

When 86 speed Hines ward is outrunning my 90 speed Jaire Alexander...its not strategy or scheme
When my DBs with Pick Artist drop Ints, ...its not strategy or scheme
When Anthony Richardson throws open passes right to opponent DBs, yet my opponents Josh Allen is throwing perfect dots on the run with my DE in his face...its not strategy or scheme
When I fumble on conservatie carry, yet my opposing QB can truck by LBs without fumbling ...its not strategy or scheme

No, but I think a belief that other people have an advantage over you is shortsighted

thats actually a great point.
also, logically think about it. if you have a poor team and always at a disadvantage to the other teams you play, there is no option for you to scheme and "cheese" a little more then those that have a player advantage to win. Visa versa, the players who spend money on the game may not have free time to grind solos and get familiar with this years game, so sometimes you play a stacked team with all the latest cards, just for them to expect to be able to hail mary to their best WR every play.
